Book a stay at this country home near Longtown, Herefordshire, and enjoy your proximity to the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley. Up to six guests can stay at the enticing period home, which has three bedrooms and comes with a games room and a hot tub. Find walks through the Black Mountains and along Offa’s Dyke Path. Visit Abergavenny, 10.5 miles away, and Hay-on-Wye, 11.5 miles away, from this village retreat. Open the front door of the cottage to find yourselves in an inviting reception hall. Wander on through to the lounge to relax as the wood burner crackles gently close by. Watch TV in here or amble through to the snug, which also has a TV/DVD. Find the country-style kitchen/diner is the perfect place to prepare meals and dine together. Discover there is also a utility room and WC on the ground floor. Venture upstairs to lay your head in one of the three bedrooms. These include two super-king-size rooms, both with en-suite shower rooms, plus a twin with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as a super-king-size in advance. Find there is also a family bathroom at this level. Soak up the sunshine and the views from the gorgeous gardens at the house. Bubble in the hot tub, while the children play table tennis in the games room. There is parking for three cars at the property. Stroll into Longtown to go to the shop, dine in the pub or see the castle ruins. Pick up the 177-mile-long Offa’s Dyke Path here too and follow a section of the route through magnificent scenery. Walk just over 1 mile from your base to reach the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Climb Waun Fach, the highest summit in the Black Mountains, 6 miles from the cottage.

Beautiful location and a well appointed house with so much to offer - the hot tub was great, provisions in the kitchen went above and beyond our expectations and the beds were so comfortable. We really couldnt have asked for more. A perfect house for a weekend away for three couples.

Had an absolute fantastic time at Tri Afon Cottage. I would definitely recommend it. We went as a family, three grown up couples. It had everything for us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tri Afon. The house is extremely well equipped & set in a stunning location with plenty to do / places to visit in the surrounding area. Communication from the owner was excellent & we thoroughly enjoyed the homemade cupcakes & other goodies that greeted us on our arrival. We will definitely be back. Thank you

This is a great house in a beautiful location, perched on the foot hills of the black mountains. The house has a very well equipped kitchen and lovely comfortable bedrooms. The cottage was lovely in every way, comfortable, well equipped and the host had provided many thoughtful extras such as a bottle of wine, food hamper, logs for the fire, robes and flip flops for the hot tub, games and dvds. We had a very successful stay despite rather changeable winter weather!

Unfortunately the local pub was closed, however we found two others that were a lot of fun. The owners Sally & Martin were very welcoming and even provided some quality provisions. The cottage was exceptional. Well done.

This is a fabulous cottage. We were delighted with the high quality of furniture, bedding and especially the bathrooms. The house was immaculate and the welcome pack was lovely. This is a beautiful place to stay very comfortable very clean house where lots of thought has gone in to making it perfect for relaxing ,especially with the hot tub .It meant we didnt need or want to go too far but we did enjoy visiting Abergavenny Hereford and Ross on wye , all within easy driving distance Another bonus was the pub 2 minutes from Read moreyour door. Perfect holiday. Every need thought of, from games room, hot tub, board games numerous DVDs to a tin of homemade cupcakes and a bottle of wine on our arrival. The standard of accommodation here is just amazing and Sally is a wonderful host. We really appreciated all the little extras to make our break even more special. Tri Afon is a clean, comfortable, well appointed house in an absolutely stunning location - the views from every window are incredible. The hot tub and games room were so much fun - we barely left the house all week as it was just so relaxing. Local shop really good, local pub not so much - very dated and food not brilliant. This is an extremely well equipped cottage. Every room has lovely views. There are many walks which can be done from the front door. The pub and shop are within easy walking distance. Sainsbury and other supermarkets do food deliveries. There are two very comfortable sitting rooms a large kitchen diner and the owners even put an extra fridge freezeRead morer in the utility room so we had no shortage of cool drinks. The Brecon Beacons is a vast, mountainous and rural region of Wales.
