From here you can access many wonderful walks which take you through Wales’ unique landscapes such as the popular walking route, Offa’s Dyke Path. It passes through the village just 300 metres away.

This stone house looks like a stunning castle straight from a storybook. Decorated and finished throughout with traditional furnishings such as a four-poster bed, oak panelling and oak cabinets. The magnificent octagonal living room has a Knoll sofa, original chandelier and superb open fire, ideal for your cosy evenings in, winding down after a busy day exploring the area. You’ll also love the elegant bathroom, with a fabulous roll-top bath and marble washstand. Outside is a shared garden with a wooden gazebo and BBQ for when you wish to dine alfresco or simply enjoy the sunset.

You’ll stay in the small, historic village of Llanfihangel Crucorney. It has a few amenities such as a shop and a pub which is considered to be the oldest public house in Wales. The Black Mountains and its walks can be accessed directly from the property, though you can travel just 5 miles to the Usk Valley to visit the imposing mountain, The Skirrid, and The National Trust Skirrid walking route. If you’re looking for a selection of shops, restaurants and bars, the market town of Abergavenny is 4.5 miles from the property.

Lovely stay in the tower. Just 1 hr drive away from Pen y fan & Corn du for hiking or the more local, easier hike is Skirrid just 15min drive away. Cosy evenings by the fire and the hosts we lovely. Historic building with lots of interesting design. Would recommend!

The Brecon Beacons is a vast, mountainous and rural region of Wales. Stretching 42 miles from east to west and covering an area of 520 square miles, the Brecon Beacons is dominated by the National Park of the same name.
