A great location at the foot of the Skirrid Mountain, this traditional two bedroom cottage has been finished with a contemporary twist creating the perfect base for couples or two friends wanting to explore the Brecon Beacons.

Enjoy enviable views from the doorstep of this property situated on a working farm and close to walking routes of all types, tourist attractions and delightful Welsh towns and villages. Pop your boots by the front door before heading into this stylish home through the conservatory. The cottage has been lovingly furnished and finished throughout and offers up comfort and practicality. Take a seat in the trendy lounge which has comfortable seating and a TV with Freeview, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy a meal together at the dining table while admiring the views of The Skirrid. Outside is a pretty garden with a lawn area and a patio that has a table and chairs, sip on a morning coffee and plan the days ahead. Located 3 miles from the ‘Gateway to Wale,’ Abergavenny, you will be close to pubs, restaurants, bars and shops, as well as the Norman ruins of Abergavenny Castle. Another lovely market town in the area is Crickhowell (8 miles), nestling in the Usk Valley surrounded by the Black Mountains. Brecon Beacons National Park has much to see and do. If you fancy a hike, The Skirrid is just 2 miles away, or try the challenging Pen y Fan (25 miles). Talybont Reservoir (20 miles) is fabulous for bird watching, fishing or a gentle stroll along the water’s edge. Head to the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal or the River Usk, which both run nearby and wind into the Brecon Beacons, great for walking, paddle boarding and kayaking.

I would recommend Chaff House to anyone. It wasnt far to Abergavenny a beautiful town. We visited Sympnds Yat another lovely place, Crickhiwell and Brecon . We had a lovely holiday

Lovely location up a quiet country lane. Property was spotless and had everything you need for a great time away. Beds were very comfortable. House felt bright and airy. Views are amazing and plenty of places to walk and this is a great base for visiting the attractions of Wales.

Beautiful cottage, we loved our stay and were really comfortable. We enjoyed hiking and cycling in the local area too. We'd love to come back again.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Chaff House. It has been decorated and equipped with taste and affection. It is cosy and comfortable in every way. We hope to be back!
