Nestled in a secluded woodland setting Glyn Cottage has an enormous amount to offer. This traditional Welsh Longhouse is beautiful on the outside and stylish, elegant, comfortable and spacious on the inside. With two spacious double rooms and a twin, Glyn Cottage sleeps up to 6 people and offers the most wonderful base from which to explore not only the Brecon Beacons, the Swansea and Neath Valleys and the glorious Gower Coastline with its sandy beaches, wildlife and the surfing. There are the opportunities for many "days out" in the area but with its lovely woodland setting, and nearby wildlife pond to enjoy you may not want to leave the cottage! When we went to visit we were welcomed with the most wonderful Victoria Sponge Cake and a cup of tea - this is typical of the welcome you will receive if you choose to stay at the cottage. "Glyn Cottage has been awarded a High Commendation as Finalists as Best Self Catering Accommodation by Swansea Bay Tourism Awards 2014".
Charming cottage accommodation
Sleeps 6 - 2 Doubles 1 Twin
On entering the fairly low, duck-egg blue front door, the warm and beautiful kitchen makes quite an impact. The stylish colour palette is picked up in the painted units, floor and wall tiles and the overall effect is very attractive. The kitchen is well designed with a large electric Range Master cooker with a ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and a freezer. The dining area has a long mahogany dining table and chairs and matching sideboard. A spacious utility room has the washing machine, tumble dryer and oil central heating boiler and room for drying coats and boots.
The sitting room is light and spacious with French doors opening out onto a sunny patio area with lovely views across the valley. Floral furnishings pick up the colours of the green and red leather furniture and in the corner sits a large screen TV with basic SKY package, DVD and CD. The focus of this comfortable and warm room is the woodburning stove set in a stone fireplace.
Up a flight of wooden stairs to three luxurious bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: A very pretty room decorated with blue and white fabrics, a wooden double bed with views out over the valley and an en suite shower room with handbasin and toilet.
Bedroom 2: A second lovely double bedroom with a black wrought iron bed and striking black and white furnishings.
Bedroom 3: This bright bedroom has twin beds with floral fabrics, a theme carried through from downstairs.
The luxurious bathroom: With walls tiled in a stunning pinkish brown marble has a whirlpool bath, heated towel rail, an Italian free-standing handbasin and toilet.

Also nearby is Cwm Clydach RSPB reserve - a wonderful place to see all sorts of rare wildlife and the riverside and woodland walks are lovely.
