Rhos Ferig House
About Rhos Ferig House
For breathtaking views and a truly peaceful country escape, look no further than Rhos Ferig House. This large farmhouse stands high above the mid-Wales market town of Builth Wells and is surrounded on all sides by truly stunning scenery.
Approached by its own long, tree-lined, picturesque driveway (look out for the peacocks and black swans here!), Rhos Ferig feels a million miles away from the stresses of modern life and is the perfect spot for exploring this beautiful part of Wales.
This relatively recent build has been sympathetically designed using traditional materials including local stone and timber, cleverly combining old style with modern comforts.
For summer visitors, this room also has wide patio doors opening onto the lovely gardens. There's plenty of space for fun and games outside, and the chunky garden furniture is ideal for gathering for a BBQ or simply just sitting out to admire the views.
For the more active there are many great walks from the doorstep, including a section of the Wye Valley Walk. Builth Wells Golf Club, with a bar and restaurant, is a short woodland walk away and the lovely little spa town itself is just a one-and-a-half mile walk from the house.

"We had a marvellous week last week, the weather was lovely which always helps. The owner came on Sunday morning and made us feel very welcome, and gave advice about places to visit ... The views from every window are wonderful, and we all loved the garden. It was a very special week."
We had a great Christmas at Rhos Ferig house. It is in a lovely position and very spacious and it was lovely and warm all the time. Each bedroom having an en-suite was great. It's a lovely part of the country and will definitely return.
North of Brecon there are less dramatic - but far prettier - hills, lush valleys and forests. The two main towns in the area are Builth Wells and Llanwrtyd Wells (which claims to be the smallest town in Britain). Both are old spa towns, with a rich history and impressive architecture. We've got a selection of holiday cottages in the towns and in the pretty villages and countryside nearby.
