Remote and unique sixteenth century Game Keepers Cottage called The Round Lodge at Llwynwywormwood close to Llandovery. Being the gamekeepers cottage for the former neighbouring estate it is set in the middle of the woods. This cottage is quite eccentric and bohemian, "very green and ecologically friendly", it generates it's own electricity, has it's own well for water, but visitors have remarked that they found very little difference to a normal house. The owner who often pops up to the house to make sure visitors are enjoying their stay loves to chat about the house and how everything works and the general area.

This unique and romantic cottage, is not for everyone, it still retains a Victorian gas lighting system but now superceded by self-generated electricity. The interior is furnished with  William Morris style fabrics and is comfy and warm. The conservatory provides a comfortable place to sit and relax. Remote yet still only one and half miles from the market town of Llandovery, accessed along a forest track, this is not the place for very low cars.

The feeling of this cottage is one of complete isolation, peace and tranquillity, yet only a short drive into the small market town of Llandovery. The area is rich in wild life with nesting Red Kite, Buzzards, Goshawks, Peregrine Falcons and Owls, they are all outside the door and it is possible to visit a "bird hide" to see the hawks feed. There is a Kite Feeding station not far away near the small hamlet of Llandeusant.  From the cottage there are miles of walks through woodlands, valleys, past waterfalls and rivers and over over hills and moorland onto the Carmarthen Fans and the Western Edge of the National Park. There is The Usk Reservoir Walk also excellent for mountain biking.
