Sweet holiday cottage for 3 people on the outskirts of Hay-on-Wye. Romantic and cosy, it has a stream running past the end of the pretty garden. It is the perfect base to enjoy Hay and for walkers and mountain bikers to explore the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.
You'll get a warm welcome to Kingfisher Cottage. This Victorian cottage is a fantastic setting to get away from city life and relax. The Dulas Brook flows past the end of the garden, where you may see an otter, certainly a kingfisher and many other water loving birds.
Hay-on-Wye has many excellent second hand book shops to browse, several really interesting boutique shops, antique and craft shops as well as several friendly local pubs, cafes, and an interesting and varied restaurants - Tomatitos Tapas, St. John's (make sure you book), Booths Bookshop, cinema and cafe. At the top of the town is The Swan Hotel and restaurant which has a very good reputation for food. The River Cafe at Glasbury is well worth a visit.
From the cottage it is easy to walk down to the River Wye, hire a canoe or fish for Trout and Salmon. Hire Mountain Bikes from Drovers Cycles and ride a mountain bike or a walk up to The Black Mountains and Hay Bluff.

The warm and cosy sitting room has a two seater sofa, chair, dining table and chairs, gas fired wood burning stove, TV with Freesat channels and DVD player.
The well equipped kitchen has a microwave, electric oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
Downstairs shower room with large shower, hand basin, toilet, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.
