The great location is within easy walking distance of Hay-on-Wye town centre (3 minutes) and the Hay-on-Wye Literature Festival grounds (5 minutes). For keen walkers the famous Offa's Dyke walking trail runs just 200m past the front door and you can enjoy wonderful walks along the River Wye just down the lane below the cottages.
Set over three floors, Bookend Cottage has charming, light, country cottage interiors with exposed wooden floors in the living room and bedrooms and quarry tile flooring in the kitchen. A traditional wrought iron fireplace with an open fire and two very comfortable sofas to be able to relax in front of a proper fire.
The kitchen-diner is newly refurbished in a country style and daylight floods in through a large sky light overhead and the open-glass back door. Following through a short corridor past a downstairs modern bathroom with a shower over bath and out into a south facing garden there is a flagstone patio area which is a perfect place to have an afternoon meal in the summer or unwind with a glass of wine after a long day walking along the river.
