This stylish safari lodge is ideal for a glamping getaway with friends and family. Discover the working farm and explore the Brecon Beacons National Park, then return to soak tired limbs in the hot tub.

Get back to nature in this eco-friendly safari lodge set on a working farm in the Brecon Beacons National Park. With a wood burner and cosy soft furnishings inside, and a private hot tub and fire pit outside, this rural retreat offers the perfect blend of rustic living and creature comforts. A haven for walkers, explore the farm before strolling along the River Usk, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal or into the village for a bite to eat at one of the local pubs.

Inside, this stylish lodge has been tastefully and thoughtfully kitted out to provide a feeling of home under canvas. Prepare tasty meals in the rustic kitchen area before dining at the farmhouse-style table nearby. On chilly evenings, fire up the wood burner and sink into one of the inviting leather sofas for an evening of games with the family, or grab a blanket and spend the night toasting marshmallows on the fire pit. At the end of a long day, there’s no better way to relax and unwind than with a long hot soak in the private wood-fired hot tub. Or, for a more refreshing dip, enjoy a swim in the lake in the next field.

Located on a working farm, this peaceful retreat is surrounded by beautiful open countryside. Gentle waterside strolls can be enjoyed along the peaceful Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and the picturesque River Usk, while more challenging climbs are to be conquered at nearby Pen y Fan (13.5 miles). Take to the water with a day of waterskiing, boating, fishing or windsurfing on Llangorse Lake, or simply admire it from the banks of Talybont Reservoir (3.5 miles). The local village of Talybont-on-Usk (0.5 miles) is home to a well-stocked shop and a choice of friendly pubs, while a little further afield the market town of Brecon (6.5 miles) offers a good selection of amenities, an annual jazz festival and magnificent cathedral.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The Brecon Beacons is a vast, mountainous and rural region of Wales. Stretching 42 miles from east to west and covering an area of 520 square miles, the Brecon Beacons is dominated by the National Park of the same name. Split into three main areas, the Black Mountain in the west, the Brecon Beacons National Park and Fforest Fawr in the middle, and the Black Mountains in the east; each is a wild, bold and inspiring place to visit on holiday. With 1232 miles of public trails which includes the 95-mile-long Beacons Way, it’s a wayfarer’s delight. One of four Dark Skies Reserves in the UK (and one of 11 in the world), stargazers can delight in the open night sky, to enjoy the darkness in full splendour. The Fforest Fawr is a UNESCO Global Geopark because of its important geology and a need to conserve and protect the area from negative over development.

Stay at a self-catering cottage in the mountains and cascading woodlands or out on the moors; you can also stay in one of the Brecon Beacon’s lovely towns like Hay-on-Wye, Crickhowell, Llangorse or Brecon. Outdoor lovers will enjoy a choice of easy to challenging treks up and around Sugar Loaf Mountain, Carn Pica, Craig Cerrig-Gleisiad, Pen y Fan, or Hatterall Ridge (and many more besides). Take in uniquely Welsh attractions like Dan-yr-Ogof (the National Showcaves Centre for Wales), The Big Pit Mining Museum, Llanthony Priory, Carreg Cennen Castle, Fourteen Locks, and the Brecon Beacons Mountain Railway. Wildlife abounds in the Brecon Beacons, and it’s a great place to spot red kites and discover the successful story of their reintroduction to the UK’s skies at the Red Kite Centre. There’s so much to do for outdoor lovers and extreme sports fans here, so why not book your self-catering holiday in the Brecon Beacons today?

Our holiday cottages across the Brecon Beacons have been carefully selected. From dog-friendly cottages in the countryside to large farmhouses on the mountainsides and everything in between, we have a holiday in the Brecon Beacons to suit you.
