This beautifully converted stone barn boasts picturesque views of the Black Mountains, perfect for a romantic retreat accompanied by plenty of nearby walks in the Brecon Beacons. Set on a working farm above the medieval village of Tretower, this cosy property enjoys an authentic countryside atmosphere. Make the most of the fresh air with a morning coffee out on the terrace. Walking enthusiasts will love the proximity of a variety of walks, from mountain paths to riverbank meanders, while foodies can appreciate nearby Crickhowell and its selection of welcoming eateries.

Through the entranceway for coats and muddy boots is a comfortable open-plan living area. Decorated with calming neutral tones, this is a cosy space to relax in after long days of outdoor pursuits. Cook up a delicious meal for two in the compact yet well-equipped kitchen which you can enjoy at the dining table by the window. Settle down on the sofa in front of the TV with Freeview and a DVD player for gentle evening entertainment. Upstairs is a delightful bedroom, appointed with wooden furnishings and an original exposed beam across the window. An en-suite shower room completes the property. Further afield, just over 8 miles away, is Abergavenny for even more pretty streets and lovely amenities. Hikers can admire stunning views from the peaks of Sugar Loaf or Myarth Hill. For a calmer stroll, the beautiful grounds of Glanusk Park offer a stately, historic scene, while the River Usk is perfect for a picnic or even boating and canoeing.

Under the present circumstances the Barn and the Stable were very clean and comfortable, we had a very enjoyable holiday.

The Brecon Beacons is a vast, mountainous and rural region of Wales.
