A newly restored barn dating from the early 16th century that can be booked either as one large property or as two independent cottages. The owners farmhouse and the barn are set in five acres of land above the village of Maes y Gwartha - very conveniently situated for those wishing to be close to the Heads of the Valley Road and with easy access to Cardiff or the Welsh Valleys yet still being in a delightful rural location with magnificent views over the Blorenge and Sugar Loaf Mountains. With ponies and sheep in the fields Old Rectory Barn is in the Brecon Beacons National Park yet still very close to The World Heritage Site of Blaenafon and its Industrial past. There are many superb walks straight from the door and the owner has produced a booklet of excellent walks of varying degrees of difficulty for visitor's information.
