Just a few miles from the breathtaking vistas of the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park, this inviting property makes a lovely retreat for two. The cottage is set on a 7-acre smallholding with horses and sheep, which you’re welcome to visit. Just outside the picturesque village of Cwmdu, this tastefully updated barn conversion makes a tranquil getaway for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers exploring this spellbinding region. A fabulous bolthole for couples getting away from it all, the cottage features exposed ceiling beams and wonderful far-reaching views. Originally a threshing barn, this attractive property has a spacious and relaxing open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The cosy lounge is perfect for sitting back, watching a movie, or catching up with a good book. The dining area is by the French doors, providing a lovely light-filled space for sharing a romantic meal for two which you can rustle up in the thoughtfully designed kitchen. Upstairs, the delightful first-floor bedroom features a king-size bed. The bedroom has impressive, exposed beams in the vaulted ceiling, along with an en-suite shower room. French doors lead out from the dining area into the generous garden which features a patio with outdoor furniture, providing a perfect spot for a morning coffee, BBQ or a glass of wine in the evening. Cwmdu has a welcoming pub and well-stocked shop, and is perfect for exploring the Brecon Beacons. The busy market town of Llandeilo (7 miles) offers a variety of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Local attractions include the remains of Talley Abbey overlooking Upper Talley Lake (1 mile), Dinefwr Castle and Newton House, Carreg Cennen Castle, Aberglasney Gardens, Herbert’s Quarry and the National Botanic Garden of Wales (all within 16 miles).

What a fabulous week we had at this beautiful cottage, our hosts Chris and Les were so welcoming, the personal little extras were a lovely touch. Excellent cottage. Just like home from home, has all amenities. Location lovely and the views are amazing. So peaceful, perfect place for a completely relaxing holiday. The hosts are very friendly and have all the information you could need.

Clean, comfotable cottage in a great location - wonderful views and we even had 2 jets flew past one morning. Well equipped and the bed was so comfy. Convenient for nearby attractions like Botanic Gardens and Llandelio town. We had a lovely meal at the Cawdor. We received a warm welcome on arrival and the cottage was spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. The location is situated near to a nice town for food etc but rural enough to provide peace, quiet and glorious views. The hosts are so hospitable and on hand should you need anything and made good recommendations for local placRead morees of interest. A wonderful cottage. Well stocked and incredibly comfortable. Having a washing machine was super helpful to wash our walking clothes. It was so lovely and a delightful welcome pack for us. Idyllic setting, really recommend this cottage. Hosts were wonderful too. Full of useful tips but left us to our privacy.

The cottage was wonderful! So peaceful and quiet, a wonderful countryside escape, just what we needed. It had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable. The views from the garden we're breath-taking and we were fortunate with the weather to be able to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the hills. The owners live next door and they are lovely people. They prepared a hamper for us on our arrival which was a lovely touch. They even bought a bunch of roses in a vase. The cottage is really comfortable and the owners provided everything for our needs from toilet rolls to washing up liquid, sponges, tea towels, washing machine powder. We had a lovely stay at Cariad Cottage. It was a cosy and comfortable property with everything we needed for our stay. Very quiet, and in a beautiful setting with great views from the garden. Would gladly stay there again.

An amazing cottage situated in the quiet countryside of Mid Wales. This stay was literally a home away from home, very comfortable, all the facilities and things you'll need for a relaxing and pleasant stay. The owners were so friendly and were there if we needed help with anything. We even got to have a walk around the farm and meet the animals. The Brecon Beacons is a vast, mountainous and rural region of Wales.
