A splendid lakeside lodge, remote and tranquil with views through the trees to the picturesque and extensive Pentwyn and Pontsticill Reservoirs and the mountainside beyond.  The peaks of the Brecon Beacons are within walking distance - there are great circular walks from the lodge and Brecon Mountain Railway is within easy reach, a firm favourite with children and adults alike.

Sleeps 4, 2 bedrooms

The sitting room/dining room has large picture windows, making it very light and airy. There is a dining table and chairs, as well as comfortable sofas.  A large flat screen TV with Freesat & DVD player is available, with plenty of books, DVDs and games. There is also a delightful toy corner for visitors with children.

A contemporary kitchen with an electric cooker with a halogen ceramic hob, a microwave, fridge and a separate freezer and French doors leading out to the raised decking and patio table and chairs.  This leads to a pretty Japanese style garden with a pergola and picnic table.

Drying room for coats and boots, with door leading to shower room with hand basin and toilet. Washing machine is available in an adjacent room.

Upstairs to two bedrooms:
No bathroom upstairs but a lovely toilet with hand basin.

Bedroom 1:A delightful bedroom with a king sized bed and a featured window, arched like chapel windows to compliment the converted chapel next door where the owners live, with views across to Pontsticill reservoir.

Bedroom 2:  A bedroom with twin beds, a "Juliet" balcony with French doors has fabulous views right across to the peaks of the nearby mountains.

Sorry but not suitable for children under the age of Five years old.

This remote lodge is set beside a very pretty and recently converted Church of St. Agnes where the owners live.   This ancient chapel, probably dating from the 15th Century, was saved and "moved stone by stone" in 1926 when the valley was flooded to create the Pentwyn and Pontsticilli reservoirs in the midst of the Brecon Beacons National Park.    Now converted to a family home, also offers Bed and Breakfast and still retains the beams, a pew and stained glass windows. In May 2012 it was featured in 'Escape to the Country'.
This is a lovely place to stay, a perfect place for star gazing with no light pollution. Perfect for serious hikers and bikers as the peaks of the Beacons and numerous mountain biking routes are within easy reach. The Taff Trail runs past the house. Also handy for keen fishermen!
Very well equipped for children and within a ten minute drive of Brecon Mountain Railway, the scenic railway that runs along the side of the valley, that children so love.Great for visitors just wishing to be able to explore the area, wonder at the landscape, perhaps wanting to visit relatives in The Welsh Valleys.Ideal for a  visit to Cardiff, perhaps for the Rugby or an event at The Millennium Stadium. The closest village is Pontsticill, 2 miles away with two pubs, the Butcher's Arms and the Red Cow.
