A luxurious and spacious family house perfect for a group of friends or family, with all the ingredients for a wonderful and relaxing holiday. Set approximately two miles from Brecon down a private lane, the house has the most outstanding panoramic views of the Brecon Beacons and Usk Valley.
The house has been in the family for many generations and has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment and modernisation. The south-facing garden is currently still being landscaped. Once complete, it will boast a terrace with alfresco seating and a BBQ in a secluded area with a large hot tub, as well as manicured gardens leading down to a stream. There is ample parking beside the house and safe storage for mountain bikes or even canoes. The garage and driveway entrance areas are covered by CCTV for guests' peace of mind.
Sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms - 4 Kings, 2 Zip-and-links that can either be set up as twin beds or put together to form super-kings.
On entering this welcoming house, there is a large entrance porch with plenty of room for boots and coats.
To the right there is a reading room study with an array of books to get lost in; to the left a generously sized and cozy sitting room with large sofas and chairs and an impressive fire place housing a large wood burning stove. There is a large TV with the full Sky package including Sky Entertainment, kids TV & sports. There is also a wireless Bose music system.
Down a few steps to a spacious and newly fitted kitchen with a large 5 hob gas 'Rangemaster' cooker, American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and filter coffee machine. A sunny oak framed breakfast nook in the kitchen with underfloor heating has seating for 4 with glorious views over the garden and Brecon Beacons. It's the perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee whilst reading the papers. The convenient utility room leading off the kitchen has a washing machine, tumble dryer, and plenty of room for muddy coats and boots. There is also a shower room with electric shower, hand basin and toilet - the ideal place to wash off muddy kids!
The formal dining room, adjoining the kitchen has an impressive 3m long farmhouse dining table with seating for 12.

Bedroom 1 (Cantref) - King sized bed with stunning Beacons views and additional toddler bed, en-suite with walk in shower, hand basin and toilet.
Bedroom 2 (Aberyscir) - Super king size bed, this bed is also zip and link so can be made into a twin room on request. There is an en-suite with walk in shower, hand basin and toilet.
Up a further flight of stairs to:
Bedroom 3 (Pen-y-Crug) - King sized bed, en-suite with a freestanding, cast iron, roll top bath with shower overhead, hand basin and toilet.
Bedroom 4 (Pen y Fan) - Master bedroom with king sized bed and freestanding, cast iron, roll top bath with views over-looking the garden & forest beyond, en-suite with shower, hand basin and toilet. TV (Sky package)
Up a final flight of stairs to:
Bedroom 5 (Cribyn) - Super king size bed, this bed is also zip and link so can be made into a twin room on request.
Bedroom 6 (Corn Du) - King sized bed with additional single bed made up on request, TV with DVD.
The shared bathroom has been cleverly fitted in between the two bedrooms, with a small bath and toilet, and freestanding hand basin perched on the landing.

Gludy is just a short distance to the popular Cradoc Golf Club, where you can enjoy a day's golfing, practice on the driving range or eat ether lunch or supper in the friendly club restaurant. The market town of Brecon is a short drive where you can find an array of local shops, deli's, cafes and restaurants. Walks - From Gludy there is a stunning walk over the Pen y Crug hill, the site of the former Iron Age Fort, which is located less than half a mile away from the house. Guests can scale the hill then continue down one of the many public foot paths in to Brecon to enjoy a refreshing drink or meal at one of the many pubs & restaurants. There is also a very interesting walk from the house to the former Roman garrison site at Y Gaer less than 2 miles away.
Fishing - Gludy Lake, situated behind the property, is stocked with trout and offers local fly-fishing and fishing is also available on the river Usk with purchase of a permit.
