Cowslip Cottage has recently been converted from a pretty farm barn, it is situated at the pretty Dan-y-Crug sheep farm. The location is utterly beautiful with stunning views across the rolling valleys of the Brecon Beacons National Park. This is an ideal great spot for enjoying all types of outdoor activities whether that be by walking, pony trekking or cycling in the area. The owners of the farm are very friendly and are happy for visitors to explore whilst observing the countryside code. Brecon is just 2.5 miles away and has plenty of shops and restaurants, whilst the area has a never-ending list of great days out and interesting places to visit.
With Buttercup Granary and Daisy the cottages at Dan-y-Crug can sleep all together up to 14 guests in 6 bedrooms and provide a homely and comfortable base, ideal for a group of friends or an extended family.
Homely self-catering accommodation
Cowslip Cottage has a well equipped kitchen with electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and a table and chairs. The spacious sitting/dinning room has a dining table and chairs, comfortable green leather sofas and chairs and a TV with Freeview and DVD player. Patio doors lead out to a patio with stream. There are laundry facilities in an adjacent building, shared with the other cottages.
Bedroom 1: An attractive and spacious bedroom with a double bed
Bedroom 2: A family bedroom with a double bed and two single beds.
Bathroom: The large bathrooms has a shower, bath, toilet and handbasin.
Cowslip Cottage is a converted barn located alongside the two other cottages. The barn is on one level with a small step down into the living area so is very convenient for visitors with slight walking difficulties. The cottage sleeps up to 6 people in one double and one family bedroom and enjoys a sunny and sheltered patio area to the rear with a stream running alongside, garden furniture and a BBQ.
Quiet farm location
The location of these cottages is very pretty. Buttercup and Daisy Byre are part of a converted wing of the 17th century farmhouse and Cowslip Cottage is a converted barn positioned alongside. There is a large grassed area around the cottages which runs down to a stream. The properties are surrounded by farmland and visitors should chat to the owners to check on livestock locations etc before heading out to explore the farm.
One of Wales' premier golf clubs
If you enjoy a round of golf then Cradoc Golf Course, just up the lane is a must. Named Wales' Golf Club of the Year in 2005 the course is an 18-hole parkland course and takes advantage of the rolling Mid Wales hills. There is a welcoming club house serving good food and the views from the course must be some of the best in Wales.
