Coachingman's Cottage is a proper Welsh cottage with a modern twist. The origins of this traditional cottage date back to the 1700's and it has recently been updated while retaining the look of a picture book terraced cottage with exposed ancient oak beams and oak windows. The cottage is in the centre of the poplar village of Trecastle on the Western side of the Brecon Beacons just yards away from the Castle Coaching Inn and restaurant . A short walk down to the village where you can visit the The Victorian School House antique centre where you are sure to find something of interest.
Relax in the enclosed court yard garden behind the cottage and you can often see Red Kite soaring overhead and well worth a visit is the Red Kite Feeding Station a few miles away at Llandeusant. From the village there are some great walks and mountain bike trails; in the village there is also an 11th century Norman motte & bailey over six metres high - highest in the National Park. From the village it is easy to drive down to the more westerly parts of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Llandovery, Llandeilo and to the West Wales Coast, just over an hour's drive.
