"Aubreys" would have been part of a terrace of traditional farm workers cottages. It has now been converted to a comfortable and a surprisingly spacious four bedroomed cottage all with en-suite shower rooms. The cottage has some unique features such as "tractor seat" chairs in the conservatory and a classic tractor parked at the front of the cottage (usually just in the summer). Aubreys is a great place to stay close to the centre of the pretty village of Llangorse, near Brecon with views out towards The Brecon Beacons and Llangorse Lake in one direction and in the other up to the Black Mountains and Llangorse Mountain behind. The village has two pubs, The Red Lion and The Castle both serving food and another cafe down beside the lake. Visit The Crannog beside Llangorse Lake with its ancient history for a picnic or hire a boat on the lake and bring your fishing rods. Just up the lane is Llangorse Pony Trekking and Horse Riding Centre along with its Multi Activity Centre with a brilliant Climbing Wall, Zip Lines, Abseiling and Sky Trek - exciting for children big and small.
The kitchen has a ceramic hob and electric oven, microwave, a larder fridge, a fridge and a freezer; a washer/dryer and great big 4 slice toaster. The dining room is three sides glass making this a warm and pleasant room to eat in with a long glass topped table with an antique pine church pew bench and featured "tractor seat" chairs. There is also a large antique wooden carved chest and an old welsh spinning wheel. Patio doors lead out to the small BBQ area. The sitting room is comfortable with a large woodburning stove ideal for those cosy winters, leather sofas and chairs and a large 42" TV with SKY and DVD.

I just wanted to say that my friends and I loved the cottage we stayed at in Llangorse – The owners were very welcoming and had left cupcakes and some wine for us, and even accepted our grocery delivery on the Friday evening and arranged taxi rides (and actually even met us personally at Abergavenny train station on the Friday night). We were all very impressed and wouldn't normally expect this level of service! The cottage was perfect, it was nice and cosy and clean, and we would highly recommend it to others. It was also in a great location for doing a few walks and some horse-riding.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Aubrey's and the owner went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, ice packs were much appreciated by my friend who had fallen from a horse. The cottage was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The location was beautiful and the local pub the Castle Inn was very friendly with delicious food and reasonable prices. The service I received from Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages was excellent.
