About Artists View
Artists View Cottage dates originally from the 1700s, this former cow byre beside the owners own holiday home and has been beautifully renovated and converted to a charming, comfortable and peaceful retreat for 2 people. There are the most wonderful views from the south facing decked veranda and as the name suggests, this cottage would be ideal for the keen artist. There are excellent walks straight from the cottage along various footpaths through Woodland Trust managed land. Access to Artist's View is via wooden steps to the terrace. Brecon is just 2 miles away providing a great selection of restaurants, a cinema, shops and museums to explore.

There is also a dining table and chairs. In the sitting room the old bottle kiln fireplace is still intact and houses the large woodburning stove, logs are supplied and the old oak beams add character. The cottage is furnished with a comfy leather sofa, and a nice mixture of pine and antique furniture. There is a good selection of books and DVD's to choose from and a TV with freeview. The French doors lead out to the sunny veranda and allow the view to be enjoyed by guests from inside as well as out. The cottage is attached to the owners property which is also a holiday property and is only used by the owners occasionally.

The glorious views can be appreciated from the veranda on a sunny day or from the fireside sofa in the sitting room when the weather dictates. A perfect little base for two - the cottage boasts a pretty bedroom and modern shower room.
Unique artist's facilities
The cottage's veranda makes the perfect location for visitors to sit and sketch or paint the view of the Brecon Beacons. The seasons and the Welsh weather will provide an ever-changing landscape.
Artist's View sits right in the heart of a very special landscape. Make sure that you visit Pen-y-Crug whilst in the area. This impressive hill fort offers a wonderful insight into the struggles of early Welsh people to defend their lands and the views from the site are breathtaking. Access is also relatively easy so even the least keen walker can take in the history and the surroundings without too much effort.

We had a great time thanks. Everything was great from booking to leaving today. Give our thanks to the owners as their property was lovely in a great location.
We had an absolutely fantastic time thank you and were amazed at the cottage, quality of the premises and general facilities. It was a real treat to stay somewhere so lovely and with such fantastic surroundings. The views were awesome and being able to see Red Kites flying over the fields each morning was spectacular. We hope to visit the cottage again at some point. Thank you for the excellent service, pleasant staff and value for money.
We enjoyed our stay at Artists View. The cottage is most comfortable and it was lovely and warm. As many previous guests have noted in the visitor book, it is well equipped and cosy. The views from the terrace are great, especially as we come from rather flat East Anglia. Lovely walks from the lane, up the hill and through bluebell woods. We came for the Hay Festival and it is a good location for visiting Hay, only half an hour away on good roads (once off the single track lane leading to the cottage!) Thank you for your excellent service.
Brecon is a beautiful cathedral town with views of the majestic mountains all around. We've got over 150 holiday cottages in and around Brecon, whether you're looking for a group getaway or a romantic retreat; a town house or a rural farm, we've got the perfect cottage for you.
