Charming and pretty rustic little cottage that has been newly painted and refreshed for the Spring; It is close to the river Caerfanell in the popular village of Talybont- on-Usk. Just a couple of minutes' walk away is the excellent local shop, cafe and post office and the three popular village pubs, The White Hart, The Usk Inn and The Star Inn with its beer garden. There are very easy walks again from just across the road onto the canal bank towpath and nice to see some of the holiday barges moored up for the night enjoying the local pubs and places to eat. There is also the excellent Travellers Rest restaurant - very popular so make sure you book there.
Again just a few miles drive up the Talybont Valley are the waterfalls at Blaen-y-glyn and the large picturesque reservoirs with its many migratory birds and a Nature Reserve. There are also walks straight up onto the Brecon Beacons.
So stay at Anoushka's Cottage for a great base for easy rambles, more serious walkers, just pottering around exploring the local towns and villages and places of interest. For anyone with a mountain bike - or they can be hired in the village - The Taff Trail cycle route passes through the village. The Henry Vaughan Trail short walk starts just opposite the cottage above the village.
