Abercynrig House is a fine period country Manor House, secluded and reached up a long private drive; the house has very well kept gardens, with a small lake and orchard all set in 120 acres of a private riverside estate parkland with half a mile of double bank fishing on some of the best brown trout fishing on The River Usk; the fishing is a only a few minutes' walk from the door. Walks from the door straight to the Peaks of The Brecon Beacons.  Your own cricket pitch behind on the lawn behind the house.  A well maintained hard court tennis court. 

Bring your own horse to ride in The Beacons with a range of beautiful newly renovated and secure Stables.  

Just across the courtyard is a large Games Room with a full size Pool Table and Table Tennis; a TV, a good supply of toys and games.

Accomodation

Sleeps 12 - 6 bedrooms

A gorgeous very large country style kitchen, very recently restored to an exceptionally high standard. Visitors are left a Welcome Hamper with local produce, bread, jam and other local produce; With a splendid oil fired, four plate white Aga - wonderful for cooking especially in a social situation. A large integrated fridge and a freezer, dishwasher, a dining table to seat twelve guests and French doors leading through to a conservatory with sofas and chairs, TV, DVD and conservatory doors leading out to the terrace.

A pantry and a utility room with washing machine dryer etc.

A fine formal dining room with family portraits has a grand walnut dining table and chairs; this would be a perfect place for a very special celebratory occasion.

The wood panelled period drawing room is elegant and comfortable with an open fireplace with a great supply of wood; with TV etc

There is a further "snug" and again cosy and comfortable with an open fire and perhaps somewhere to be able to quietly retire to read or chat.
