Situated in an elevated position above the charming town of Hay-on-Wye, you’ll benefit from town centre attractions just half a mile away whilst also making the most of a spacious holiday home with sprawling gardens all around. Thoughtfully presented with contemporary and elegant décor, this detached home is impressive from the moment you arrive. On arrival, you’re met with gardens set to lawn and complete with outdoor seating areas for making the most of the weather. Step inside to find two spacious lounge rooms on the ground floor, a snug with a TV and wood burner for cosy film nights, and a drawing room that’s perfect for board games. Whilst the chef of the family may be up to the challenge of cooking on the traditional Aga, the kitchen also comes equipped with an induction hob and electric oven to ensure hungry mouths get fed. And, once meals have been enjoyed together, six beautifully decorated bedrooms laid out on the first floor await you for a quality night’s sleep. We had a lovely stay at Boatside to celebrate two milestone birthdays within the family. The house suited us perfectly with plenty of space for us all (11) and marvellous views all around. The lovely town of Hay is just a short walk away..

If you are looking for a beautiful luxurious house, a stroll away from Hay On Wye, this is the holiday home for you! The website pictures do not do it justice, the views are breathtaking, furniture and decoration tastefully done. A wonderfully characteristic old house, providing lots of space for our large family, children, adults and dogs. Lovely Christmas decorations too. Walk into town an easy 10 minutes, beautiful location.

Stayed at Boatside for 10 days. A large family yearly gathering, 11 + 2 dogs. Lovely fireplace to gather in the evening, endless hours just looking at the view to Hay on Wye below. Lovely dog walk along the riverbanks and a safe garden for playing. It's an old house, it creaks, it groans, but wow. What a house. Thank you for letting us stay.

A beautiful gorgeous house. The garden and views across Hay on Wye are fantastic, and just a short walk to the town. We had an amazing week in this huge house, there was 11 of us and 2 dogs for my mums 70th, we had 3 children and everyone loved it! Plenty of room for everyone and lovely grounds for the kids to play in. House had everything you could have needed. There were loads of walks and a lovely village a short walk away. A most comfortable house with magnificent views over Hay-on -Wye and up to the Brecon Beacons. The house is very well appointed and ideally situated for access to Hay and the Offas Dyke National Trail.

We loved the house from the minute we all walked in, great location, everything you'd need for a holiday. Located just above Haye you have amazing views and plenty of garden, there's also a secure patio for the dogs. The house has everything you could need or want, is spotless and it's very spacious. We have given feedback that the heating does makRead moree a noise from 4am in a couple of bedrooms, we hope this gets sorted as otherwise its amazing, we'd go back and stay again as a beautiful house. We visited Boatside in September with family, we turned into the drive & rumbled over the cattle grid & under a weeping willow & then the house was on the left & views of the mountains on the right & both had the wow factor. We arrived in glorious sunshine which added to the wow factor for this property. 11 of us from ages 7 - 72 years plus two dogs had the most wonderful time here. Excellent house in a super location with fab views. Plenty of space even when we had 11 staying. 20 min walk to Hay and 30 minutes to the festival site. Highly recommended.
