Plan that romantic escape you’ve always talked about and treat your partner to a holiday in the Brecon Beacons. Nestled amongst sweeping countryside, pretty streams and stunning mountain ranges just 2.5 miles from Crickhowell, this duo of converted shepherd’s huts provide quirky accommodation for couples in rural splendour. With stylish washing and dining facilities in one property and a cosy sleeping nook in the other, this meadow setting guarantees a unique stay. On an evening, the night sky is perfect for stargazing with a glass of wine by the fire pit. Peaceful, private and boasting everything you could need to relax in style, the huts enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, ideal for al fresco suppers on the patio. Inside the first hut is a chic space with a wood burner for cosy nights. There’s a double bed, a table and seating, but right next door your adjoining property is equipped with a shower room and an excellent kitchen that has a stove, oven and fridge. You’ll have over 30 acres of farmland to explore and resident animals to greet, and the friendly owners are available should you need anything. Embrace the array of scenic trails leading through natural farmland and head in the direction of Crickhowell, a charming market town that boasts shops, eateries and impressive castle ruins. The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal is a beautiful route to cycle along with a picnic lunch, or why not charter a boat to discover the fabulous vistas. The River Usk offers riverside walks and delicious picnics, but it is also a great location for fishermen to cast their line for wild salmon and trout. Abergavenny 6 miles away is home to a popular annual food festival and a selection of restaurants.

  • 1 double bed in the sleeping hut that’s named ‘Belle’
  • 1 shower room with a shower and a flushing WC

What an amazing place! The sleeping hut was incredibly comfortable and there was plenty of space due to three immense drawers beneath the bed and the fact that the bathroom and kitchen are in a separate hut. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, and the shower was super-powerful with plenty of hot water. As to the views...wow!
