This cosy cabin in the Carmarthenshire countryside is a perfect getaway, whether you’re looking for a romantic hideaway or an adventure-packed holiday. Located 4 miles from Llandovery, this colourful town offers a variety of independent eateries and shops and provides a gateway to the Cambrian Mountains, popular with hikers and cyclists. Llandovery is also one of the train stops on the scenic Heart of Wales line, on which you can enjoy some of the most spectacular landscapes stretching from Swansea to Shrewsbury. More fun days out await just 7 miles away in the smallest town in Wales - Llanwrtyd Wells. This small town is well known for its Bog Snorkelling Championships, Real Ale Rambles and Man vs Horse race.

Step through the French doors and into this wonderfully crafted cabin into the open plan living/kitchen and dining area, which has some quite unique features and accessories. After a busy day exploring, snuggle up on the sofa to read a book or watch the Smart TV. Everything you need to rustle up a home-cooked meal is provided within the kitchen area and Welsh dresser. I love this place. Its perfect for a couple or anyone who wants to chill away from it all. The bed was very comfortable and the lodge was well appointed. The small details made it perfect. I will go back again and again when I want to escape. The lodge is behind the owners house, but is private and the owners are lovely and respectful of guests priRead morevacy. Although it is small, I didnt feel cramped and my two dogs felt very at home and had space. There is a lot to do in the area too. Hide

We spent an idyllic week in the Lodge. The Lodge itself is great; it's beautifully designed, very cosy - they've thought of everything! The enclosed garden is a real bonus, so lovely and relaxing. Our dog Parsnip loved running around it! The owners were so welcoming and helpful, which really made the week special for us. The Brecon Beacons is a vast, mountainous and rural region of Wales. Stretching 42 miles from east to west and covering an area of 520 square miles, the Brecon Beacons is dominated by the National Park of the same name. Split into three main areas, the Black Mountain in the west, the Brecon Beacons National Park and Fforest Fawr in the middle, and the Black Mountains in the east; each is a wild, bold and inspiring place to visit on holiday. With 1232 miles of public trails which includes the 95-mile-long Beacons Way, it’s a wayfarer’s delight. One of four Dark Skies Reserves in the UK (and one of 11 in the world), stargazers can delight in the open night sky, to enjoy the darkness in full splendour. The Fforest Fawr is a UNESCO Global Geopark because of its important geology and a need to conserve and protect the area from negative over development.

Stay at a self-catering cottage in the mountains and cascading woodlands or out on the moors; you can also stay in one of the Brecon Beacon’s lovely towns like Hay-on-Wye, Crickhowell, Llangorse or Brecon. Outdoor lovers will enjoy a choice of easy to challenging treks up and around Sugar Loaf Mountain, Carn Pica, Craig Cerrig-Gleisiad, Pen y Fan, or Hatterall Ridge (and many more besides). Take in uniquely Welsh attractions like Dan-yr-Ogof (the National Showcaves Centre for Wales), The Big Pit Mining Museum, Llanthony Priory, Carreg Cennen Castle, Fourteen Locks, and the Brecon Beacons Mountain Railway. Wildlife abounds in the Brecon Beacons, and it’s a great place to spot red kites and discover the successful story of their reintroduction to the UK’s skies at the Red Kite Centre. There’s so much to do for outdoor lovers and extreme sports fans here, so why not book your self-catering holiday in the Brecon Beacons today?

Our holiday cottages across the Brecon Beacons have been carefully selected. From dog-friendly cottages in the countryside to large farmhouses on the mountainsides and everything in between, we have a holiday in the Brecon Beacons to suit you.
