We spent two weeks at Belle Vue Cottage as an extended family. The house had everything we needed and the location was perfect. Morrisons and pubs just a couple of minutes walk. Brecon is beautiful and has so much to offer- shops, walks along the canals, kayaking, leisure centre, cinema. The house had a lovely enclosed garden - perfect for our dog Read moreand the kids loved the games room. Sally was also on hand to respond to any questions/problems and the welcome hamper was lovely. Beautiful, spacious and functional - with a very well equipped kitchen, a generous outdoor area with a built in barbecue and large dining table for alfresco dining, where we spent most of our time. We would definitely recommend this cottage and if we go back to Brecon, we would be disappointed if we couldn't stay here.

Cottage is so lovely! So well equipped, we took too much with us, even the BBQ, it's all there. Blow dryer is available for women, there's not much you need to take for a trip with you. You can find everything you can think of in the kitchen for cooking and it takes 3 mins to get to the Morrison store on foot. The cottage is very cosy, we had a parRead morety of 9 (+ two dogs) and the cottage for very spacious for all of us. It took us only 15 mins to drive to pen y fan and 30 mins to waterfall county! A delightful house in a lovely location. The house is very well equipped for family gatherings. It was so peaceful with only birdsong for company. The outdoor space is vast with plenty of room for games in the garden. A good size and well positioned BBQ allows you to enjoy feasting in the sunshine. Highly recommended.

This very comfortable, well equipped, spacious cottage was in a perfect location in the town giving excellent access to all amenities within a short walk. The welcome hamper was a delight, filled with local produce and the owner very accommodating. Would love to revisit as there is so much more walking left to take advantage of in the area.

The Brecon Beacons is a vast, mountainous and rural region of Wales. Stretching 42 miles from east to west and covering an area of 520 square miles, the Brecon Beacons is dominated by the National Park of the same name. Split into three main areas, the Black Mountain in the west, the Brecon Beacons National Park and Fforest Fawr in the middle, and the Black Mountains in the east; each is a wild, bold and inspiring place to visit on holiday. With 1232 miles of public trails which includes the 95-mile-long Beacons Way, it’s a wayfarer’s delight. One of four Dark Skies Reserves in the UK (and one of 11 in the world), stargazers can delight in the open night sky, to enjoy the darkness in full splendour. The Fforest Fawr is a UNESCO Global Geopark because of its important geology and a need to conserve and protect the area from negative over development.

Stay at a self-catering cottage in the mountains and cascading woodlands or out on the moors; you can also stay in one of the Brecon Beacon’s lovely towns like Hay-on-Wye, Crickhowell, Llangorse or Brecon. Outdoor lovers will enjoy a choice of easy to challenging treks up and around Sugar Loaf Mountain, Carn Pica, Craig Cerrig-Gleisiad, Pen y Fan, or Hatterall Ridge (and many more besides). Take in uniquely Welsh attractions like Dan-yr-Ogof (the National Showcaves Centre for Wales), The Big Pit Mining Museum, Llanthony Priory, Carreg Cennen Castle, Fourteen Locks, and the Brecon Beacons Mountain Railway. Wildlife abounds in the Brecon Beacons, and it’s a great place to spot red kites and discover the successful story of their reintroduction to the UK’s skies at the Red Kite Centre. There’s so much to do for outdoor lovers and extreme sports fans here, so why not book your self-catering holiday in the Brecon Beacons today?

Our holiday cottages across the Brecon Beacons have been carefully selected. From dog-friendly cottages in the countryside to large farmhouses on the mountainsides and everything in between, we have a holiday in the Brecon Beacons to suit you.
