Alfred's Bull Pen is on a quiet farm with a few sheep, some pretty calves in the flower filled meadows and some ponies peacefully grazing in fields beside the drive down to the farm, all within very easy reach of The Black Mountains and Llantony Valley, Offa's Dyke and Brecon Beacons. Converted from the old bull pen, the architect has cleverly made full use of the original structure of the building, with large windows allowing plenty of light to fill this lovely space. For visitors keen on sustainability there is geothermal underfloor heating which gives a wonderful radiant heat. For visitors interested in good food this cottage is only a few minutes walk from The Hardwick run by Stephen Terry, the well known chef , but remember to book well ahead! For everyday dining you will be spoilt for choice with the many other good gastro-pubs in the area.
Sleeps 4/5 - 1 king-size, 1 twin & sofa bed available.
Alfred's Barn has a very spacious and well designed light kitchen with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, large fridge and a freezer, dishwasher etc. Ample storage space and a large central dining table and chairs with windows all around to be able to enjoy the ever-changing scenery.

The warm and comfortable sitting room has sofas and chairs set around a wood burning stove adding to the atmosphere of the barn, first basket of wood supplied, there is a flat screen TV with DVD and i-pod docking system, a music system with radio and a good supply of games and books in the dresser drawer.
French doors lead out to the stone terrace with garden furniture, BBQ and a lawn with an old oak tree.
There is a further room down a couple of steps that has the snooker table, this room has double doors and a sofa bed so if there are five visitors in the party it can be a third bedroom.
