A spacious apartment with open plan living space is simply perfect for small families and couples wanting to get away and enjoy the beauty of the Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons no matter what the time of year.

Tucked away in an idyllic rural setting in the Usk Valley in Southeast Wales, this delightful single-storey property is perfect for couples or families. Located between the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Brecon Beacons National Park, lots of adrenaline-filled outdoor adventures await you, whether you’re on foot, bike or canoe. Although it occupies a rural location, the village of Bettws Newydd with its pub and farm shop is only a 1-mile stroll away. Immaculately presented in cool, neutral tones with top-quality fixtures and fittings, this contemporary property is light, airy and stylish throughout. On arrival, leave your muddy boots outside under the traditional oak porch before heading inside to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Here, you can luxuriate in each other’s company, whether you’re cooking up a storm in the kitchen, dining at the table or sinking into the comfortable sofas. There are two gorgeous bedrooms to retire to at the end of the day, whilst two shower rooms complete the accommodation, one of which is en suite. Outside, there is a terrace to the rear and a patio to the front, both of which offer a peaceful place to enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink. Walkers will be spoilt for choice with many walks straight from the doorstep, such as the Usk Valley Walk. For something a little more challenging, you could head to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain (10.5 miles) where you can appreciate the far-reaching views of the area’s beautiful landscape. Parc Bryn Bach (19.5 miles) offers something a little less strenuous with its nature reserve and activity centre, whereas water sports enthusiasts will be more likely to enjoy Goytre Wharf (3.5 miles). If history’s your thing, you could visit the Big Pit National Coal Museum or the photogenic Tintern Abbey (both within 20 miles).

Like staying in a showroom, offering lots of space, cleanliness, comfort, and great ambiance. All you need for a relaxing stay and holiday break. We could not fault the cottage and amenities, and within close proximity of the Brecon Beacons. Just don't ignore the local area, which is well worth exploring in its own right. What a great find. Really good quiet location but near to Usk town, Abergavenny and Crickhowel. One of the cleanest lodges I have ever stayed in, looked brand new. Very well equipped and had everything you would need. Took my parents and we are all feeling very relaxed after our stay.

A recently renovated property with a good spec finish. Had everything you needed and more. So much so we cooked every night as the kitchen was well equipped and basics were also left too. Great location to visit surrounding area and not far from the Prince of Wales Bridge to visit the South West of England too.
