Elegant, spacious and full of light, this former farm building has been beautifully converted to provide a fabulous holiday destination for solo travellers and couples looking for a romantic retreat. Located on a hilltop 8 miles from Chepstow, it has mountain views and a garden table from which you can enjoy gorgeous sunsets.

Set on the far side of the owner’s historic home, this delightful stone building is furnished in a timeless style, blending traditional looks with all the modern comforts you’ll need. Pretty soft furnishings add to the welcoming feel and make it just like a home from home. As you de-stress in the woodland and meadows around, you might hear nightjars and spot deer or hares. We had a lovely stay at this cottage. The weather wasn't too good, but we loved spending time inside in this beautiful, light cottage that had everything we needed including some tastefull groceries. When it was dry for a bit, there was much to see in the garden or in the surrounding area. We are definitely going back, that says it all right? :-)

The hosts were very friendly, and the location was quiet with wonderful views. We were so close to all sorts of wildlife, including red deer and many kinds of bird. The cottage is extremely well-appointed and has everything you might need. The bed was very comfortable, the bath long, and the water hot. There was a wonderful welcome pack of deliciouRead mores Artisan bread and several kinds of cheese. We left very relaxed after our week there, and hope to go again. Hide

We stayed here with our 10 month old daughter for a long weekend. We had a fantastic, peaceful time, admiring the countryside views in every direction. The cottage is up on top of an historic site with wonderful views over hills and valleys, with the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons in the distance. It is so peaceful and restful, but only a few miles from Usk or Chepstow.
