Kick back and enjoy some quality time with your loved ones at this pretty farmhouse overlooking the Honddu Valley in the heart of the Breconshire countryside. Sleeping eight people over four bedrooms, this property sits on a working farm and is full of character – the ideal country retreat for families or groups of friends who enjoy a little luxury when they travel. Spend happy days hiking, cycling or boating at the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, and fun evenings dining alfresco in the garden as you watch the farm’s livestock graze in the neighbouring fields.
Step inside and kick off your walking boots in the spacious hallway. There’s plenty of room in the utility room to store your outdoor gear. Take a moment to make yourself at home in front of the wood burner in the living area and when it’s time to eat, make the most of the contemporary kitchen/diner. There’s also a second kitchen located on the ground floor that leads into a second living area with French doors leading onto a large, decked veranda. Alternatively, head outside onto the walled terrace, fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco. After dinner, crack open a bottle of something cool and crisp and watch the stars come out, have fun in the games room on the first-floor landing, or simply chill out in front of the TV in the living area. When the day is done, you’ll find four wonderful bedrooms to unwind in. On the ground floor, there’s a king bedroom with a wet room, while the first floor boasts a super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, one double and one twin room. These two charming bedrooms have the use of a family bathroom.
The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal is a beautiful and peaceful waterway that meanders through the Usk Valley in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
