Step through the front door and into a welcoming lounge area where you’ll enjoy laidback evenings in front of the wood burner and Smart TV. Opening out from this traditionally styled space is a contemporary kitchen/diner where there are every chef’s essential items as well as a sofa, second Smart TV and fully glazed floor-to-ceiling doors onto the terrace. A utility room offers storage alongside all the housekeeping must-haves, and there’s also a king-size ground-floor bedroom – accessed via a few steps – with a shower room and a WC. A central wooden staircase leads to three lavish first-floor bedrooms, each of which has wow-factor wallcoverings, luxury bed linens and en-suite facilities. Choose from a twin zip-and-link bedroom with an en-suite free-standing bath and WC, or a king-size room with an en-suite free-standing bath and a WC plus a glass-fronted balcony where you can sit and enjoy uninterrupted valley views. Explore the Black Mountains from your doorstep, or stroll to the local pub in Bwlch, just 300 metres away. In neighbouring Llangynidr (2 miles) there’s a shop, eateries and access to the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. The largest lake in South Wales, Llangorse, is 5 miles away for paddleboarding, sailing and windsurfing or, for a change of pace, you could visit market towns Crickhowell (6 miles) and Hay-on-Wye (13 miles).

This is a dream cottage every need has been met and a view to die for. The garden furniture is so comfortable and rugs are there if it is a bit cold ,then in the kitchen it is just as good with views across the valley .The kitchen had everything you could need There were 8 in our party ranging from 16 to 92 and we all want to return .The beds were Read moreso comfortable and plenty of towels of a very high standard .This must have been a very happy home and will continue to be for guests I am sure Hide
