Bring the family to explore this beautiful part of Wales and get ready for walking adventures along the River Usk and deep into the Brecon Beacons National Parks, hunting for waterfalls and wildlife along the way. This apartment is a fantastic base from which to get to know the local area, offering a cosy home-from-home for relaxation at the end of each day.

Embrace open plan living and gather the family together in the relaxing living space which is filled with two sumptuous sofas positioned to look out through the bifold doors and into the garden. Cuddle up on the sofa for a film night on the Smart TV or get competitive with a friendly games night as the sunsets outside. The other half of the open-plan space is filled with a bright and air modern kitchen where meals can be cooked up for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the centre of the room a dining table seating four offers a fantastic place for you to gather together and make plans for the days ahead. Both of the bedrooms are accessed via the hallway, the first of which is a king-size room which can be made up as a twin on request, with a calming, neutral colour palette and an en-suite shower room offering additional privacy. The second room is also a king, with a large window and a wall-mounted TV for peace and quiet in the evenings. There is a family modern shower room with a heated towel rail and a utility cupboard enclosing a washer/dryer completing the property. To the front of the property is a pretty patio with seating for four where you can enjoy the fresh air and sip your morning coffee in preparation for the day ahead.

4 miles away lies the market town of Usk where many footpaths begin and the Usk River can be found along with a number of independent shops and cafes. You can take a trip 9 miles to Abergavenny to see the iconic trio of mountains including the Skirrid, the Blorenge and the Sugarloaf, with fantastic trails trekking between them offering up mighty views from the summits. For those with a love for water, Llandegfedd Lake is a great place to take a picnic, or to try your hand at sailing, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding if you’re feeling adventurous.

This was our first visit to a holiday cottages' property and we were not disappointed. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The welcome pack of food was very appreciated. The house was decorated for Christmas and also all the outside trees we lit up which gave a wonderful festive feel. The location was good for visits in the area. Do not hesitate to book! The quality accommodation is exceptionally clean and very comfortable. It is well-equipped with everything that you need. It is a home from home. Alice Springs Lodge is a gorgeous place. The beds were so superbly comfortable I made a note of the mattress make when I stripped the beds. We loved sitting outside when the weather permitted. Unfortunately, my partner had to go to A&E in Cwmbran only three days into the holiday and we therefore did not spend much time at Alice Springs. This was our first self catering holiday as a family and staying at No4 Alice Springs has set the bar high. Great facilities, a very thoughtful welcome hamper and extras such as board games. A lot of thought had gone into the presentation and content of the lodge. A tranquil site with nice walks around the old golf course. An excellent location to Read morevisit local places of interest e.g. Skirrid and Clytha to slightly further a field to The Big Pit, The Caves and the Royal Mint. Hide

Simply Wow. The lodge was perfect. As soon as we opened the door our holiday began. Spotlessly clean, gorgeous interior and all equipment was excellent quality. The welcome hamper contained enough food to get us started so we could relax without having to pop to the shops immediately.
