Had a lovely week in Woodpecker Lodge. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. Milk in the fridge and Welsh cakes were a nice touch. The cottage is situated on the side of a hill which makes for steep walks. Great views from the gardens which are lovely with many interesting plants. Owners friendly and helpful. Was slightly worried that the lodge was on the ground floor with another lodge on top. If the top lodge has noisy visitors it could be a problem, Our holiday neighgours were quiet. The grounds around the lodges and the views are wonderful and the area is very quiet. Great pub in the village with very good food at cheap prices.

The woodpecker apartment was lovely and spacious. The views from the higher BBQ area were stunning and with the goats and pigs in the field it was very idyllic!

Beautiful location, very hilly so need to be fairly fit for walks from cottage. Pub in village not open much. Could hear the people in the above cottage moving around a lot.

The lodge is in a beautiful, magical location with lovely views from the gardens. It is very nicely furnished and well equipped, with outside seating on a small terrace. It is attached to the owners' property next door and they are very helpful but do not impose on your privacy. The car park is reached by a fairly steep slope but it is possible to Read morepark by the lodge if necessary. The lodge is comfortable and extremely spacious, set in beautiful gardens, in a lovely part of the country. I loved looking at the cute pigs and goats in the field. I would just warn anyone who is not an early riser and/or is a light sleeper (I am both.), that the other two lodges are above this one, and you may be woken up by noisy residents.
