A spacious single-storey apartment with open-plan living space that is perfect for entertaining, and a great base for exploring the Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons no matter what the time of year.

This fabulous countryside retreat sleeps four guests and makes a great base for small families and couples looking to explore this beautiful corner of Wales, nestled between the Brecon Beacons and Wye Valley. Waymarked walking trails lead from your front door, including the fascinating Usk Valley Walk which runs all the way to Brecon. At the end of the day, stroll just 1 mile to the local pub for a hearty meal, or dine on your terrace and take in the peaceful surroundings. The luxurious apartment has an open-plan layout and feels bright and spacious. Neutral tones create a calm atmosphere, and carefully chosen accessories and soft furnishings bring a touch of elegance to each area. The sociable apartment is designed with entertaining in mind. Enjoy an aperitif at the breakfast bar, before gathering around the large, wooden dining table to share a delicious meal. Outside, eat breakfast and sip a morning coffee on your patio, before taking a gentle stroll around the immaculate shared grounds. The picturesque town of Usk (3.5 miles) is well worth exploring during your stay. Known for its historic buildings and impressive floral displays, a walk along the Town Trail will take you past some of the prettiest parts of the town. Round off your visit with a coffee and cake in one of the cute cafes. If it’s stunning views you’re after, then head to Sugar Loaf Mountain (10 miles). Right in the heart of the Black Mountains, a climb to its summit will reward you with panoramic views across the whole of South Wales. History enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to Raglan Castle (8.5 miles). The fortress is one of the largest in Wales and makes a great backdrop to family picnics.

We were blown away with the property and the location. Everything about the property was exceptional. We have stayed in many properties through holiday cottages over the years and can truly say that this holiday was the best because of the beautiful lodge and the location.

One of the best accommodations we have stayed in. Very well equipped including a lovely welcome package, spacious, clean, comfortable beds and couch. The location was very convenient although there is not much possibility for walking directly from the accommodation.

Lovely, well designed, spacious and comfortable accommodation. Careful thought has ensured that it is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The lodge was perfect for our little girls getaway! So pleased to have picked this location and lodge! The host, Josie was so accommodating and friendly, made sure everything was ready before arriving and gave plenty of updates! The lodge was warm, comfortable and felt so safe for first-comers in Wales!!
