Backed by the dramatic Black Mountains, the 12th-century priory is a photographer’s dream, particularly if you’re lucky enough to catch it at dawn or dusk. If you’re keen to try the local delicacies, journey to Abergavenny. The lively market town hosts a popular food festival each year and also has a huge selection of interesting eateries and open-air markets.
