Situated in the Usk Valley in Southeast Wales, there are plenty of adventures both from your doorstep and further afield. Whether you are walkers, cyclists or water sports enthusiasts, the opportunities are endless to get outside and enjoy the Monmouthshire countryside. Despite the rural location, a one-mile stroll takes you to the village pub and farm shop in nearby Bettws Newydd. Light and airy, this gorgeous property is ideal for couples and families. Decorated in neutral tones with high-quality, contemporary fixtures and fittings, the property feels fresh and stylish throughout. You enter under the oak-framed porch, which provides a good spot for discarding muddy boots. Inside, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a lovely space in which to spend quality time together, whether you’re cooking, dining or reclining on the sofas. The two beautiful bedrooms are both restful spaces with sumptuous soft furnishings, classic furniture and countryside views, whilst two shower rooms complete the accommodation, one of which is en suite. For outside dining, pull back the bi-folding doors and enjoy the views from the terrace. You can enjoy one of many walks in the surrounding area, such as the Usk Valley Walk, but should you want to venture further, why not head to Sugar Loaf Mountain (10.5 miles) and enjoy the breathtaking views from the top. For something a little more leisurely, visit the nature reserve and activity centre at Parc Bryn Bach (19.5 miles), or why not enjoy an adventure on the water at Goytre Wharf (3.5 miles). The area is also packed with history, with attractions and landmarks such as the Big Pit Coal Museum and Tintern Abbey within 20 miles. Heading east, you can even explore the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Super spacious, super clean and exceptionally equipped, surrounded by wonderful landscape of the old golf club. A fabulous welcome hamper was also provided. Brilliant 5 star cottage, Highly recommended.

A lovely cottage, all relevant equipment is provided. Great location, very quiet with easy access to most major routes. Usk is a lovely little town. Welcome pack was much appreciated. Would definitely consider this cottage if we return to this area in the future.

The accommodation was perfect for my family, it was immaculate with high quality amenities throughout. The patio area was a real bonus for sitting outside. Its location was ideal for sights and attractions locally or close enough to dual carriageways/motorways to visit further afield. Could not recommend it more. A very well equipped cottage. Our second visit to this site so we knew we didn't have to travel with a carload of extra stuff. There was a comprehensive welcome pack on arrival. The site manager even arranged for the weather to improve!

This was an amazing apartment. Really well equipped - all the little things we normally take with us were there, even plastic food bag clips! The apartment was immaculate and really comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and lovely to walk around, with great views if you climb the hill. The location is excellent; close to Usk for local supermarket,Read more and a short drive to many attractions in South Wales and the Forest of Dean, including several castles. Alice Springs lodge No 1 was very comfortable and had everything to make the holiday exceptional. The location is great as it is within a 50 mile radius of many attractions, towns and villages.
