Romance and relaxation are on the cards at this delightful shepherd’s hut located at the base of The Skirrid. Close to walking routes and cycling trails, the Wye Valley and vibrant market towns, you will have plenty to keep you occupied on your Welsh break.
This quaint shepherd’s hut is deceptively spacious and beautifully finished. It benefits from under floor heating throughout so you can keep warm whatever the weather. Step inside to the open-plan space and find a delightful wood burner set in front of two armchairs, a well-equipped kitchenette with breakfast bar and a built-in double bed with Smart TV at the foot. To one end of the hut is a shower room with WC. Outside the hut is an enclosed garden with comfortable seating, hammock, fire pit and a BBQ. Start the day in your private sauna and multi-jet shower and when you return after a busy day exploring, soak up the views and the starry night sky from the private hot tub.
Just 1 mile away is a restaurant and pub, while The Skirrid is accessible via rugged farmland and walking trails from the doorstep. Climb to the summit and admire the superb views across the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. If you fancy another challenging hike, head 5.5 miles to Sugar Loaf Mountain. Keen cyclists will find trails and tracks of all varieties, from off-road mountain biking to peaceful lanes. Abergavenny (3 miles), known as the ‘Gateway to Wales’ has lots of pubs, restaurants and shops for you to peruse, or enjoy a trip to the museum or castle.
