Open the door to the stone cottage, which is set on an 80-acre estate, and hang your coats in the hall. Find a ground-floor WC and then wander on into the lounge; read a book, watch TV or discuss where the following day’s activities. Prepare a delicious dinner for two in the kitchenette, with its electric cooker and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, washer/dryer. Then dine together at the table by the window. As night falls, head up to the comfortable bedroom, with its king-size bed, walk-in wardrobe and en-suite shower room, with WC. Find an additional seating area up on the bright landing. On warm days, sit out in the sunshine in the lawned garden and in the evening sizzle supper on the BBQ. There is plenty of off-road parking at this Welsh cottage.
Enjoy long walks in your verdant surroundings or bring your bicycles and explore Crychan Forest, 7 miles away, with its many woodland trails. Those who are even more adventurous can try the Coed Trallwm Mountain Bike Centre, 14.5 miles away. Visit the Roman gold mines at Dolaucothi, 16.5 miles away, nestled in woodland on hills overlooking the picturesque Cothi Valley. Head to Llandovery, 5.5 miles away, with its shops, pubs and restaurants to browse for an hour or two and perhaps sit down to a meal out.
