Lovely cottage. Well equipped (no dishwasher but we knew that!). Telly and wifi work well (when the builders haven't turned the booster off). Middle of nowhere, but lots of places to drive to. Great pub in village (2.4 miles away). Friendly and good beer. Exploring footpaths was not a success: overgrown with thorns and malevolent dogs on other farmRead mores. Hide

The cottage is stunning, has gorgeous views over the valley. The outside facilities are lovely, and if youre a cyclist or horse rider, then the separate shower in the little annexe would be so useful. The owner was very approachable, and also left us in peace. Ideally placed to explore both Builth Wells and Hay on Wye.
