This beautifully presented one-bedroom cottage with country charm, enjoys a quiet spot at the edge of the national park with easy access to the many walks and trails.

Escape to this romantic cottage for two, tucked away in a picturesque location, near Pennorth, and set within the grounds of the owner’s property. Drive 2.5 miles to Llangorse Lake, with its opportunities for water sports and outdoor activities. Take a contented canine with you and set his tail wagging with long walks straight from home. Return to the cottage to light the wood burner and bask in its glow or to sit out on the balcony or in the garden as the sun goes down.

Open the front door to this pretty cottage and step into an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Throw open the French doors on warm, summer days. Fire up the wood burner when it’s chilly and settle down in front of the TV. Wander through to the kitchen area at mealtimes to find it has an electric cooker with induction hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Dine together at the table or outside in the fresh air. Find the shower room at ground-floor level and the bedroom, with its king-size bed, on the floor above. Discover this enchanting room, with its sloping ceiling, benefits from a door on to the balcony. Take your cup of tea out here in the morning. Spend time out in the lawned garden, where you can enjoy a few pages of your book as you soak up the sunshine on the bench.

Explore the Brecon Beacons from your location right on the edge of the national park. Walk for either 1 or 3 miles, depending on your energy levels, for refreshment in a country pub. Drive 7 miles to walking routes up Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, or 5 miles to amble through Brecon, with its many colourful shops, and perhaps to dine out in a café or restaurant.

Lovely and peaceful. Very well equipped cottage in beautiful countryside. Managed a good 8+ hours sleep every night. Owners are nice people, and are non intrusive (house shares a drive with the cottage) . Good shower, very comfy bed.

We had a delightful week at Finch Cottage. The cottage is very well presented and a credit to its owners, with good quality facilities and cosy living and sleeping accommodation. Lovely access to the garden, which in turn is surrounded by beautiful countryside with easy walks from cottage. We will return soon. Thank you

We really enjoyed our stay in Finch cottage. It was very peaceful and quiet providing a lovely relaxing break. The cottage was very comfortable, particularly the large bedroom area, and provided all the amenities for our stay with our small dog. I would definitely consider returning and recommend to friends.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful. We were made to feel so welcome and were so lucky to have chosen such a gorgeous setting for our mini break. The cottage is local to Brecon and close to plenty of stunning walks which we took full advantage of.

A beautiful little cottage away from the hussle & bussle of everyday life. Everything was well thought out and good quality. Clean, cute and very cosy, even though in August we didn't need to use the log burner!

A lovely welcoming cottage, equipped to a high standard. A real bonus having both a washing machine and dishwasher in the kitchen. Beautiful garden which we had access to, so many birds to watch and daily visits from a squirrel. Great base for exploring and a nice pub only a short walk away up through the lanes.

Lovely cottage in a good position for exploring the Brecon Beacons. The cottage is very well presented, beautifully clean, cosy and comfortable. There were little extra touches that make all the difference like fresh flowers on the table, a bottle of milk in the fridge and two complementary bottles of beer. We were made to feel very welcome by the Read moreowners who couldn't have been more helpful giving us advice about places to visit and good dog friendly pubs to eat at. A perfect short break. Hide
