Escape to this romantic cottage for two, tucked away in a picturesque location, near Pennorth, and set within the grounds of the owner’s property. Drive 2.5 miles to Llangorse Lake, with its opportunities for water sports and outdoor activities. Take up to two contented canines with you and set tails wagging with long walks straight from home. Return to the cottage to light the wood burner and bask in its glow or to sit out on the balcony or in the garden as the sun goes down.

Open the front door to this pretty cottage and step into an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Throw open the French doors on warm, summer days. Fire up the wood burner when it’s chilly and settle down in front of the TV. Wander through to the kitchen area at mealtimes to find it has an electric cooker with induction hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Dine together at the table or outside in the fresh air at the table nestled among the lush gardens. Find the shower room at ground-floor level and the bedroom, with its king-size bed, on the floor above. Discover this enchanting room, with its sloping ceiling, benefits from a door on to the balcony. Take your cup of tea out here in the morning. Spend time out in the lawned garden, where you can enjoy a few pages of your book as you soak up the sunshine on the bench.

Explore the Brecon Beacons from your location right on the edge of the national park. Walk for either 1 or 3 miles, depending on your energy levels, for refreshment in a country pub. Drive 7 miles to walking routes up Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, or 5 miles to amble through Brecon, with its many colourful shops, and perhaps to dine out in a café or restaurant.

Lovely and secluded and the large garden a bonus with a dog. So quiet which we loved but very remote from a shop, garage etc. Perfect base for walkers.

A really sweet little cottage in beautiful location and grounds. Very relaxing with great local walks, access to the countryside and in easy reach of hill and valley walks, as well as quiet towns and attractions in the wider Brecons. Recommended.

A lovely comfortable cottage in a great location to explore the Brecon Beacons and Wye Valley. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners were really helpful and friendly. We went with our dog who enjoyed all the mountain walks as well as exploring significant amounts of the MonmRead moreouthshire and Brecon canal nearby. We had a lovely active week here, but equally it is perfect to use as a base to relax and watch the birds. Hide

We had a lovely weeks stay in Finch Cottage. Owner Janet made us feel welcome on our arrival. It and everything in it was perfectly clean, with tasteful decor and very comfortable furniture. Care goes into the management of Finch Cottage which is lacking in many company maintained properties. We felt cosy in the cold weather and appreciated the wooRead mored burner. The garden was ideal for for our dog, as were the quiet roads around the cottage (with friendly neighbours). Hide

Lovely and peaceful. Very well equipped cottage in beautiful countryside. Managed a good 8+ hours sleep every night. Owners are nice people, and are non intrusive (house shares a drive with the cottage) . Good shower, very comfy bed.
