A carefully renovated Welsh house, perfect for a group holiday and set close to the River Senni, with surroundings that are perfect for hill rambling and peak climbing.

Explore the enchanting Brecon Beacons from this four-bedroom stone holiday home, with views over the River Senni. Up to eight people, and two dogs, are welcome at this property, at Defynnog in Mid Wales, which could be perfect for a group holiday. Go hill walking in your surroundings or soak up the scenery from the comfort of the hot tub.

Enter and make your way into the generous lounge to watch TV or a DVD or stoke up the wood burner. When mealtimes beckon, head through into the spacious kitchen, with its electric oven with hob, microwave and fridge, to prepare tasty dishes. Pull a stool up to the breakfast bar to pause over a cup of coffee. Serve up in the dining room where everyone can sit in comfort. Find a WC on the ground floor, together with a utility room, with washing machine and additional fridge/freezer. A double bedroom, with en-suite wet room with WC, is also on this floor. Venture upstairs to the other inviting bedrooms: these include one double with river views; another double, with en-suite shower room with WC, and a bedroom with bunks. The family bathroom, with WC and a bath with shower above, is up here too. Immerse yourself in the setting from the privacy of the beautiful garden. Serve diner on the patio, with its river views, taking care to supervise children. Discover ample parking.

Lace up your walking boots, pack a picnic and follow any number of walks in the area. The more energetic can also venture up the peaks of Pen y Fan or Corn Du. Plan a trip to the Brecon Beacons National Park Mountain Centre, 4 miles away, with its incredible views. Head 2 miles into Sennybridge for a meal out in one of the friendly local pubs.

Words cannot describe what a wonderful week we had at the old factory house. The house is amazing, well equipped, clean, owner came each day to check the hot tub. Loved watching the sheep in the field opposite while sat in the hot tub. We wouldn't have changed a single thing. There isn't much to do locally but I think that's the Brecon beacons in gRead moreeneral, you have to drive everywhere but it's well worth it. Looking forward to our next stay Hide

Plenty of space, wonderful hot tub. Great for all age groups. Nothing within actual walking distance but there are attractions not that far away. The scenery of Wales was spectacular. All in all a lovely holiday.

Super family holiday - 6 adults and two dogs , plenty of room , nice and warm property. Well equipped kitchen , lots of logs provided for log burner. Hot tub very nice . Tried local pub less than 2 mins walk away food was very good. Everyone hoping for return trip.

Beautiful cottage with stunning views very well equipped so warm and cosy with log burner, hot tub was great, very comfy beds, would definitely visit again owner's very friendly and great communication if you needed anything the local pub serves good food with a great friendly atmosphere

We stayed during the wettest weather possible with the surrounding area suffering severe flooding. The house provided a warm and comfortable retreat with the covered hot tub providing refuge from the weather. The house was well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing break.

Fabulous! Fully equipped, spotlessly clean, warm, cosy and the special little touches like mince pies and wine made all the difference. Lovely location & house. One issue we did have was the hot tub, it was cold on arrival and despite a phone call and assurance it would be ready for later in the evening it was not, so lost an evening of use,The temperature is set at 37 which is not warm in the winter! The hot tub was neither topped up with chemicals or checked whilst we were there Read moreand smelt like the nearby river the next day after only 1 evenings use, which was a shame as easily rectified. Wonderful cottage, we used it for a family get together and it was perfect. Excellent location for accessing the Brecon Beacons, great views from the house. The log burner and hot tub were a welcome sight after our walk to Pen y Fan. Hot tub was checked daily by the owner, Will definitely visit again.

Delightful house in lovely setting. Very well appointed. The only slight drawback for me was that the garden wasn't fenced (I have two small children), but I was made aware of that beforehand so no real issue.

Beautiful cottage with plenty of room for 8 people. Kitchen fully equipped with plenty of crockery etc. Plenty of parking and 2 minutes walk to local pub. 2 ensuites, a family bathroom and a single toilet. Hot tub and garden lovely, as was the brook that ran through bottom of garden.

We really enjoyed staying at the cottage. It was spacious and very well equipped. Hot tub was the icing on the cake and Misty our dog loved the dips in the river!

Had a fantastic stay at "The Old Factory." Had everything we needed, great location and very helpful owner. The huge hot tub was a hit with both adults and kids and the wood burner was lovely also. We went with 4 adults & 4 kids ant there was plenty of room for us all. Highly recommend.

We had a very comfortable stay for four nights pre-Christmas. Location by the river was great, and we enjoyed the hot tub outside. Plenty of space in the cottage for five of us. Kitchen well equipped and spacious. Unfortunately local pub was closed or not serving food during our stay, so missed that opportunity. Lovely house, a real home from home. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a family of 8. The kids loved the garden and the river. A short drive to pen y fan mountain and we found lots of other things to keep us entertained for a week. The cottage was exceptional, very clean , spacious and comfortable. Everything had been thought of. Lots of unexpected extras like dishwasher tablets and washing powder as well as pretty throws , and books and games. I would be more than happy to recommend and would happily visit again.

Absolutely brilliant cottage for a trip with a family of 7 and a dog. Very well equipped and the owners were super helpful and friendly. Great location for access to Brecon Beacons. The hot tub was fantastic and we were pleased it was covered as we had a bit of rain. Would recommend this place.

The Old Factory House is in an idyllic location with beautiful, spacious family accommodation, we sat every morning on the terrace and the children could play in the field (with gate) which adjoined the property and led to a little stream - pure magic - we even saw a kingfisher!
