The cottage was exactly what I was looking for - a place to disconnect from the world. Lost in the beautiful Crychan forest, my friends and I had an absolutely wonderful week at EB! We didn't see another soul and spent endless hours walking, reading and relaxing. Highly recommend EB if you're looking for a digital detox and relaxation!

A lovely, off-grid retreat. Very quaint and quirky with comfy, clean rooms and well equipped kitchen. Very pleasant and helpful manager/owner. Would like to go back in the summer. Recommended.

We very much enjoyed our stay, the remote location was great and we were very comfortable although much of the furniture is a little tired. The maps were useful but more local information would have been better. Mice ruined the fruit we left in a bowl on the work surface the first night. Damp walls in the first floor bedrooms was an issue, plus freRead moresh mouse droppings under one of the single beds. Hide

Shame the oven didnt work which meant we couldn't cook the lovely meals we had planned. We had to make do with only using the hob. Sofa isnt very comfortable for relaxing. Beautiful house and location. Comfortable beds and lovely views. Full of character and charm. .Spotlessly clean.

We had a lovely family gathering at Esgair Berfedd. Our hostess, Caroline, could not have been more helpful. The house and its location are magical. The dark skies had us stargazing out in the garden after dinner.

This cottage it absolutely gorgeous and the location is really beautiful. There is no WiFi or reliable 3G/4G which is a big positive as it encourages us to spend more quality time as a family without relying on technology all the time. We have stayed here many times and plan to go back lots in the future. Its a truly tranquil and relaxing place to Read morestay and we absolutely love it! Hide

Too many bats everywhere. We had to leave the same day. They weren't 'occasional' and only in the attic; they were in every bedroom, the kitchen, living room etc. I'm not bothered by animals but this was unhygienic and stressful.

Had a lovely stay, so beautiful and clean. It was a little out the way for us but I also know that this is what makes this place so beautiful. A real retreat from this crazy world.

We absoluetly loved our stay. Perfect location for a complete get away. There is no signal and no wifi which was just what we wanted but just to be warned. Everything was clean and tidy, there were more than enough kitchen utensils and facilitis. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a complete get away surrounded by beautiful nature
