Honestly one of the best cottages Ive stayed in Crickhowell area, so well equipped and they have thought of everything. One could easily cook a Christmas dinner here. Thank you for letting me bring the dogs and I hope I left it ok for us to come back another time. X G

Cottage is in a lovely remote location surrounded by hills and countryside [and sheep!] and there is an abundance of wildlife. It has been well converted from a barn and is clean and comfortable. Crickhowell is just over 1 .5 miles by road or about 35 minutes walk using the path behind the cottage. The cottage is well placed for walks.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at Cwmbach Barn. The accommodation was comfy, spacious and well equipped, and the host was lovely. The location was just what we had hoped, being away from noisy roads and neighbours (our neighbours for the week were the sheep and the many varieties of wild birds). It was a great base for visiting the BreRead morecon Beacons and we had some wonderful days out in the local area. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for an escape to the country. Hide

I wasn't sure at first, as we drove down a grassey track to the cottage. Is it too isolated. No is the answer. It was perfect. Beautiful spot in the valley. Lovely little sunny garden to sit out and watch the blue tits feeding. Walks right out from the cottage, including into the village and Crickowell. Fabulous quiet location with easy access to town and all the local sights. Great walks around the cottage. Straight on to a path/right of way at the back of the cottage which is great for dog walks. Loads to see and do around the area and we plan to come back as soon as we have time. Cottage equipment and comfort was fantastic.
