I wasn't sure at first, as we drove down a grassey track to the cottage. Is it too isolated. No is the answer. It was perfect. Beautiful spot in the valley. Lovely little sunny garden to sit out and watch the blue tits feeding. Walks right out from the cottage, including into the village and Crickowell. Fabulous quiet location with easy access to town and all the local sights. Great walks around the cottage. Straight on to a path/right of way at the back of the cottage which is great for dog walks. Loads to see and do around the area and we plan to come back as soon as we have time. Cottage equipment and comfort was fantastic.

We stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it. Remote whilst close to local villages/towns, peaceful and with plenty of walks from the barn. We loved watching all the birds on the feeder including a daily visit from a woodpecker. The cottage was larger than we thought it would be which was a bonus, and very comfortable with the fire, comfy sofaRead mores and well equipped kitchen. We would highly recommend staying here! Hide

Idyllic location with lots of birds, wildlife and walks on the doorstep. The barn is cosy and warm for cooler days with a great log burner (plentiful logs provided & easy to gather kindling) and well equipped kitchen. For a rural break to explore the Black Mountains and quirky local towns Cwm Bach is ideally located.
