In the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, surrounded by mountains, reservoirs and canals, is this beautifully-converted barn. Arranged over one level, this delightful property offers light and fresh accommodation with plenty of character through exposed beams and an original stone fireplace. With increased accessibility for wheelchair users, this single-storey property is ideal for romantic getaways or family breaks. Rustle up delicious meals for two in the traditional kitchen, which provides plenty of space and has a good-sized farmhouse-style table in the centre. With a large fireplace complete with wood burner, cosy soft furnishings and double doors opening onto the garden, the lounge is a restful space at any time of day. When you’re not indulging in a long soak in the bath, make the most of this property’s outside space which includes a raised herb bed, sunny enclosed lawn garden and al fresco dining area.

Just 0.5 miles from the village of Talybont-on-Usk, this property sits within walking distance of the local pubs and shop. Walkers and dogs will be in their element with wonderful walks available from the doorstep to the foothills of the Beacons. Meanwhile, gentler strolls can be enjoyed along the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal. For local history, visit Tretower Castle and Court (7 miles), White Castle (22.5 miles) and Raglan Castle (25.5 miles), or for a greater selection of amenities head to nearby Brecon and Crickhowell (9.5 miles), both of which are home to independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
