A beautifully converted barn surrounded by miles of remote countryside, yet only 1 mile from the quiet village of Cilycwm. Sleeping five plus one dog, it’s an ideal escape for the whole family.

Tucked away in the valley, just 5 miles from the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, enjoy some peace and quiet and escape to the country in style. Perfect for getaways with family and friends (of the four-legged variety too), you can enjoy exploring straight from your door or head south to the National Park to summit peaks and tread well-trodden paths. Return home to the comfort of the roaring wood burner and warm up after adventures.

The gorgeous interior mixes traditional and contemporary styles which welcome you inside to switch off and relax. At the heart of the home is the open-plan kitchen/diner; full of country style yet with a sleek feel, you can cook up delicious meals and plate up at the dining table which comfortably seats all guests. Step down from the kitchen and into the lounge where you can fire up the wood burner and keep the chill at bay. Sit beneath the striking vaulted ceiling and curl up with a book or challenge guests to a board game. A single and a twin bedroom reside on the ground floor so you can head off to bed with ease; upstairs, make your way to the mezzanine level (perfect for turning the pages of a good book in peace) and through to the double bedroom for a good night’s sleep.

With a 4-acre fenced paddock to call yours and an abundance of trails to hop onto straight from your door, you can spend days exploring close to home. Less than a mile away, the quiet village of Cilycwm is great for grabbing a bite to eat in the local pub and is home to a pretty medieval church.

A fantastic winter holiday. The barn was wonderful and presented so beautifully. Curling up by the fire as a family to watch a good film after a walk to see waterfalls can't be beaten. Fiona and Denis were perfect hosts, nothing was too much of a problem. Thank you! We will definitely visit again.

Beautiful place to stay in, would highly recommend. Great value for money. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Only bad thing that can't be changed is the dirt track on the way up is very tight and bumpy but would definitely stay again.

Our stay was lovely, we would definitely recommend the property and location, rural but close to a lovely little town. The owners were thoughtful by providing milk, eggs and bread for when we arrived. There was nothing lacking within the property anything you could think of was provided.

A lovely place to stay, quiet and comfortable. It was amazing to hear the owls at night. The only negative for us was the problem with ticks on our dog. Unfortunately the flea treatment we use doesnt cover ticks so please make sure you get the relevant cover for your dog from your vet before visiting.
