This enchanting property provides a unique experience for friends looking to gather in a pretty waterside setting. The property sleeps up to ten guests and is located between the villages of Llangynidr and Bwlch.
Set in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, on the edge of the River Usk, whisk family and friends on a getaway to remember. Welcoming your dogs too, this bolthole has all you need for a magical trip, including an open fire to keep toes and tails warm, games room for fun-filled evenings, and 11 acres of land to explore right from your door.
This bolthole exudes rustic charm and is full of lovely features. In the lounge, traditional 18th-century oak panelling creates a lovely backdrop to the fireplace and large windows let natural light flood inside. Curl up here for a moment of rest before you find yourself in the games room for a lively evening. The kitchen has a classic style, and the small table is perfect to sit at whilst sipping your morning mug of coffee - unless it’s a sunny day, in which case enjoy an al fresco coffee in the garden. While away time and take a seat by the observation window, where the original waterwheel once was, from here you might spot wildlife such as otters and herons. When it’s time for bed, make your way to one of five bedrooms to rest your head for the night. Climb stairs for the master double where an en-suite bathroom with freestanding bathtub invites you to jump in and soak aching muscles. The remaining bedrooms reside on the ground floor, making it easy to whisk yourself off to bed after dinner.
With 11 acres of land to roam close to home, you can spend your days exploring without jumping in the car. The small market town of Crickhowell is a 7-mile journey and is well worth a visit, as is the nearby Table Mountain which offers panoramic views across the national park.
