A delightful character cottage for families or outdoor enthusiasts. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside within a designated protected wildlife area, this property is just 3 miles from the amenities of Brecon.

This charming, detached cottage, just to the north of the Brecon Beacons National Park, is perfect for families looking to soak up the area’s natural beauty. Surrounded by hills and views of the Welsh countryside, guests will love the abundance of space and tranquillity, as well as the wide choice of walking/cycling routes on your doorstep. Despite the rural location, the market town of Brecon is nearby, with all its shops and eateries. This is one of a number of properties at this location that can be booked together.

Full of original features, this cottage is bursting with character. Exposed beams, wooden floors and stone walls blend effortlessly with mod-cons to ensure your stay is a comfortable one. The farmhouse-style kitchen/diner is spacious and welcoming, whilst the cosy lounge is the perfect place to snuggle up of an evening in front of the roaring wood burner. Upstairs, there are two delightful bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Outside, children will love exploring the vast gardens and neighbouring fields, whilst adults enjoy a relaxing meal or drink against the backdrop of the gorgeous countryside.

Nestled amongst the beautiful Welsh countryside and with the Brecon Beacons to the south, this property occupies the ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts. Set yourself a challenge by hiking to the top of South Wales’ highest peak, Pen-Y-Fan, (12miles away), which offers breathtaking views of the area, or perhaps opt for something less strenuous like Pen-y-Crug (3.5 miles). In Brecon itself, take a stroll along the picturesque Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, explore the shops, eateries and other amenities or follow a walking trail to discover the town’s history. There are also beautiful caves, waterfalls and rivers to discover nearby, or you can even take to the water at Llangorse Lake for paddleboarding (8.5 miles).

A lovely little cottage in a quiet location, well stocked with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Dog friendly and lots of room for outdoor play, access to an enclosed field and there is a little stream that runs behind a further field that my dog enjoyed. If you have a dog that likes to wander then be aware this property has an open Read moredriveway leading on to the road (which is fairly quiet). Wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility issues as the staircase may be an issue. Hide

We loved this place, the owners live right in front and were so helpful and welcoming. The cottage is cosy and quintessential with everything needed (including a dryer!). Lovely location and hosts very attentive. The cottage appears to have had some upgrades ( kitchen) but the bathroom is a little in need of this too! Beds comfy and plenty of hot water. Heating worked well and wifi good. Stairs are very creaky
