Sleeping six people across three bedrooms and welcoming one four-legged friend, small families and groups of friends are sure to appreciate spotting the wildlife that lives right on the doorstep, from red kite to deer. Step inside and you’ll find yourself in a spacious, stylish, open-plan kitchen/diner. After a rewarding day hiking the trails of the Brecon Beacons National Park, you’ll discover everything you need in the kitchen to cook up a feast for all of your loved ones. There’s ample room for everyone to dine together in the dining area, or, if it’s a pleasant evening, head outside, light up the charcoal BBQ and soak up some glorious views as you dine alfresco. After dinner, curl up in front of a film in the living area, or make your way to the snug area on the mezzanine overlooking the living area to play board games. At the end of the day, there are three wonderful bedrooms to choose from, including one on the mezzanine level that features sloped ceilings and beautiful oak beams. Stretch your legs on a beautiful 4-mile circular hike of Llyn y Fan Fach (13.5 miles). This gorgeous route takes you along a river and around a lake. You may even be lucky enough to see red kites and buzzards. Alternatively, head into Llandeilo (3.5 miles). This exceptionally pretty market town has plenty of stores and boutiques to explore, as well as a lively restaurant scene, where you can sample local specialities like Carmarthen ham with Welsh cider sauce.
