Enjoy an abundance of amazing hikes right from your doorstep, or unwind as you sit in your garden and spend the afternoon spotting deer and birds of prey. Step inside and you’ll find a handy utility/boot room – the perfect place to kick off those muddy boots after a rewarding hike. Continue down the hall and you’ll be greeted by a spacious kitchen/diner, where you’ll find all the equipment you need to cook up delicious dinners from all the local produce you won’t be able to resist in the area’s farm shops. After dinner, relax by the flickering wood burner as you watch your favourite film in the living area. When the day is done, head up the open staircase to the mezzanine level that looks over the living area, where you’ll find four lovely bedrooms to choose from. Escape the modern world on a hike around Carreg Cennen Castle (5 miles), which was voted the most romantic ruin in Wales by Countryfile magazine. Perched on top of a 300-foot-tall crag above the River Cennen, this dramatic castle commands stunning views over Carmarthenshire. Alternatively, pop into the lively little market town of Llandeilo (3.5 miles), where you’ll find a whole host of wonderful local food outlets, so you can stock up on the finest local produce for your stay.
