A spacious cottage set on the edge of the Brecon Beacons and close to the popular towns of Crickhowell and Abergavenny. Nearby to a sweet country pub, making this a great retreat any time of year.

Make yourselves at home in this exquisite cottage at Glangrwyney, just 1.5 miles from Crickhowell. Sleeping up to four guests, and also welcoming a pair of contented canines, the two-bedroom holiday home could be ideal for a small family or two couples. Soak up the sunshine in the pretty cottage garden which features a stream, or unwind in the cosy glow of the wood burner inside the charming house. Explore the beautiful Brecon Beacons; walk by the famous River Usk and plan days and meals out in Abergavenny, which is celebrated for its food. Leave your outerwear in the boot room and make your way into the kitchen. With everything you need to help you prepare tasty holiday meals, and a breakfast bar at which to perch with a cup of coffee, this bright space also has a dining table and conservatory area, as well as doors on to the garden. Follow the hall and step down into the lounge, where you can watch the Smart TV as the wood burner crackles. Take the stairs up to the floor above to find a twin bedroom, plus a room with a king-size four-poster bed and an en-suite shower room. A family bathroom can also be found at this level. Relax outside as often as possible; watch children play on the lawn and look for wildlife in the open stream, and find parking for four cars at the cottage. Discover lots of walks and cycle rides from the house. Drive 13 miles to reach Talybont Reservoir, where you can fish and complete a 6-mile walk beside the water. Spend time at the lake at Llangorse too, 11.5 miles away, where you can canoe, kayak and hire rowing boats. House was beautifully located between Abergavenny and Crickhowell with easy drives deeper into the Brecon Beacons and train links from Abergavenny to Cardiff. Fabulous cottage and surrounding area, the road noise from the main road directly in front of the cottage was an issue lorries thundering past from 05.30 and for most of the day.

We had a great week! The cottage is well kept, abuntantly decorated, provided with a well-equiped kitchen and is spacious . No doors to bump your head against. We enjoyed especially the brook entering and leaving the garden and which was was filled with running water after some showers. Recommanded strongly!

Lovely cosy cottage with plenty of space for 4 adults and a dog. Beds very comfy and kitchen equipped with all you'd need. Garden is pretty, there is some garden furniture, but we took our own recliner chairs, and were glad we did. Only down sides for us were the traffic noise (the A raad outside can be busy), and the five bar gate to the garden, wRead morehich we were a bit worried our small dog might get through, although there is another set of gates before the road. Cottage is lovely , well equipped and clean. It's a great size with a pretty little garden with a babbling brook. The owners are very nice and friendly. It is on the A40 which means it suffers from traffic noise. The pub next door is shut for renovation and the bridge to the canal path also closed. A perfect central location to visit the Brecon Beacons area, only a 50 minute drive to Cardiff too if you fancy a visit. We had the most marvellous of stays. The cottage was spotless and absolutely huge, and the setting so picturesque! The little brook that runs through the garden was gorgeous, and it was easy to drive into and out of the garden with so much room to reverse. The dogs had a good bit of space to rummage around in, and there were walks right off the froRead morent door too. Gorgeous, well-equipped, large cottage. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Weve stayed in a lot of cottages in this part of Wales and this was up there with the best. The nearest shop is 30-40 minutes walk.
