Peacefully secluded within an established wildlife lake surrounded by farm woodland. This truly rustic cabin finished with vintage style is simply perfect for couples wanting to retreat from the real world.

Escape from it all with a stay at this secluded lakeside cabin for two, in the serene Forest Coal Pit area of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. Get close to nature and gaze out across the still water, which is home to a plethora of wildlife, from the moment you awake every morning at the magical, one-bedroom holiday home to the moment you head off to bed. Soak up the sunshine on the veranda or bask in the glow of the wood burner, when you are not venturing off on long country walks or spending an afternoon pottering in Abergavenny. Make your way along the boardwalk to the wooden lodge, which sits comfortably within its natural surroundings. Wander into the rustic property to find yourselves in a welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner. Cook delicious, romantic dinners in here then dine in the cosy warmth inside the lodge or outside in the fresh air, overlooking the lake. As night falls in this tranquil setting, find you have a cosy, double bedroom to head off into and an en-suite shower room for your convenience. Enjoy breakfast on the deck on warm mornings and while away the hours just watching the wildlife. There is parking for one car with the property. Plan long walks out into the Black Mountains from the cabin and even decide to climb the famous Sugar Loaf Mountain, approximately 2 miles away. Go mountain biking, play golf or try pony-trekking in the surroundings too. Leave the tranquillity behind you every so often to go shopping in the vibrant market town of Crickhowell, 5 miles away. Savour the foodie experiences of Abergavenny, 4.5 miles away, with its delicatessens, restaurants and cafes. Visit the castle and museum here too and wander around the market, looking for delicious ingredients to take home with you.

We loved the cabin it was nice and peaceful a little hide away. On arrival there was a lovely hamper with all goodies what a nice touch. Beautiful little cabin, very quiet and secluded. We were after a peaceful little place to relax for a weekend, and this was perfect. The wood burner made it very cosy too. Close to walks, waterfalls and mountains, loads of things to do for nature lovers. We would definitely come back!

We simply didn't want to leave the immediate area of the cabin. I was simply a piece of heaven on earth. Sublimely cosy doesn't come close to doing it justice. If you're a bird lover the cabin serves as the most comfortable hide I have ever been in. We will definitely return.

The cabin is a fanstastic little bolt hole for exploring the amazing local countryside and watching the wildlife from within . It was actually really nice to be off the grid with no phone signal or wifi. Jenny was also an amazing host as were her fantastic dogs who ere very welcoming and showed us they way to the cabin.

Totally amazingly peaceful location, lots of birds, squirrels and rabbits. Extremely clean, great shower and comfy bed. Loved the lit boardwalk across the lake. A fantastic place of tranquility which reinvigorates the soul. Once you get past the fact you are incommunicado, you find nature provides far more than can be found staring at a screen. The accommodation is amazing. Quirky and very cosy, set within amazing surroundings. Wildlife in abundance outside and was nice to just sit on the outside area taking in the tranquility. The owners are lovely people and will do anything to help if need be. Have already booked again.

I cannot recommend this place enough! It was amazing! Very secluded and completely off grid, a great place to get away from the bustle of life. This place is special. Its isolated enough to give you the peace and quiet needed when looking to unwind, but its only a short drive into Abergavenny to enjoy the amazing food on offer. We had a wonderful stay at Ty Coot. The kitchen is kitted out with everything you could need and the cabin is so beautiful. The owners were really welcoming and the farm dogs ran ahead of the car when we arrived to show us the way!
